seriously i can’t think about it too concentratedly it’s exceedingly damaging. matt getting to dedicate his career to his obsession with this guy AND singular power in dictating how jay appears to the world AND the knowledge that such a huge part of his oeuvre is compositions for matt’s work… i wish he was even slightly more self-aware so i could be assured he was suitably grateful for the opportunity. and by extension the character relationship is nuts. ‘that’s the worst you’ve ever been.’ ‘i know. i won’t do it again.’ ‘you will!’
