luke  understood  her  worry ,   her  anxiety .   bringing  another  human  being  into  this  world  even  when  they  could  handle  it ,   even  when  they  were  capable  of  it .   it  was  entirely  nerve - wrecking  and  it  should  be .   they  were  going  to  be  responsible  for  another  human  together  all  the  while  still  raising  two  more .   luke  knew  there  was  much  at  stake  even  just  through  the  pregnancy  but  he  figured  there  was  nothing  they  couldn’t  handle  together .   fingertips  push  hair  out  of  mari’s  face ,   offering  a  kind  smile  towards  her  in  hopes  of  continuing  to  ease  her  nerves  that  must  have  been  on  the  fritz .   mari’s  words  made  him  chuckle ,   sigh  pushing  past  lips  as  he  looks  down  at  her  adoringly .   lips  pucker  to  press  against  her  thumb ,   mouth  parting  to  gently  bite  down  on  mari’s  thumb .   luke  leans  away  now ,   palm  rubbing  at  mari’s  leg  for  a  moment  whilst  he  thought  about  the  best  way  the  phrase  it  but  he’s  aware  that  there  is  no  real  way  to  say  anything  like  this .    ‘  then  we  will  come  across  that  bridge  IF  it  comes .  ’

          despite  doing  questionable  stuff  ,  seojun  finds  himself  terrified  that  someone’s  gotten  into  his  apartment.  sure  ,  he’s  fone  fucked  up  stuff  to  people  and  owes  them  A  LOT  ,  but  he  didn’t  think  they’d  reach  this  far.  (  well  ,  he  actually  did.  )  he  really  thought  his  space  is  safe  enough  for  him  to  live  and  sleep  peacefully  but  suppose  ,  he  was  wrong  about  that.  now  ,  he  sits  at  the  couch  with  a  pan  on  his  hand  ,  watching  over  the  male  before  him  ,  deciding  whether  or  not  should  he  call  and  involve  the  police.  maybe  he  should  call  his  hyung  first  before  doing  that.  but  he’s  quickly  to  get  rid  of  his  thoughts  when  he  sees  the  young  man  finally  moving.  he’s  gets  into  position  ,  ready  to  swing  just  in  case  he  decides  to  ATTACK  him.  better  be  first  than  get  hurt  ??     “   what  the  fuck  is  going  on  ??  what  the  fuck  is  going  on  ???   ”     he  repeats  the  man’s  words  with  wide  eyes.     “   you  broke  into  my  home.  who  the  fuck  are  you  ??   ”

          xiaohan  pats  his  jeans  to  make  sure  he  still  has  his  wallet  and  burner  when  the  other  speaks  up .  he  turns  to  look  at  the  source  and  has  to  do  a  double  take  to  make  sure  it  was  really  a  pan  in  seojun’s  grasp .  xiaohan  lets  out  a  puff  of  air  and  shakes  his  head ,  hand  waving  around  in  a  dismissive  manner  as  if  he  were  brushing  aside  seojun’s  words .      ❛      someone  who  needed  a  place  to  hide  —  your  window  was  already  open ,  so  i  took  my  chances .  you  can  put  the  cookware  down ,  rapunzel ,  remember  you  attacked  me  and  not  the  other  way  around .      ❜      he  looks  down  at  his  hands  and  sighs  when  he  sees  the  various  shades  of  purple  and  blue  adorning  his  knuckles ,  only  imagining  what  his  eye  and  lip  must  look  like .      ❛      i  need  to  get  the  swelling  down  ...  you  got  a  bag  of  frozen  vegetables  ?      ❜      the  raven  haired  male  asks  as  if  he  hadn’t  broken  in  and  the  two  of  them  weren’t  complete  strangers .  it  was  very  much  in  character  for  him  to  remain  casual  in  all  situations ,  this  time  was  no  exception .

      they  couldn’t  have  been  more  bored  in  their  entire  life  then  they  were  at  this  moment .  sebastian  adored  their  father’s  ability  to  be  able  to  speak  to  people  for  long  period  of  times  but  when  he  dragged  his  family  with  him  to  these  snotty  dinners  they  really  wish  he  hadn’t .  but  they  did  have  their  favorite  person  next  to  them  so  it  wasn’t  all  too  bad .  slowly  ,  plush  lips  munching  on  an  appetizer  they  snatched  from  a  passing  tray  ,  they  looked  towards  the  other  in  contemplation .  ❛  do  i  have  permission  to  whisk  you  away  from  this  boring  event  or  are  you  fine  being  here  ?  ❜  sid  licked  their  lips  to  get  any  crumbs  off .  ❛  i  can  even  snag  us  some  food  so  we  can  chill  in  a  room  upstairs  ,  just  please  say  yes .  i  beg  of  you .  ❜

          hunter  had  been  going  to  functions  such  as  this  ever  since  he  was  able  to  walk  and  talk  on  his  own .  he  didn’t  necessarily  mind  them ,  however ,  there  were  a  million  other  things  he’d  much  rather  be  doing  such  as  watching  a  documentary  or  reading  a  book .  luckily ,  he’d  found  good  company  in  the  other  whom  became  the  one  thing  he  looked  forward  to  at  these  events .  a  large  portion  of  the  guests  were  much  older  and  hunter  often  felt  out  of  place  being  so  young ,  that  is ,  until  he  met  sebastian .  he  lets  out  a  yawn  which  he  covers  with  a  hand  over  his  mouth  to  conceal  his  boredom  —  as  if  that  was  ever  a  secret .  his  ears  perk  up  and  head  turns  in  their  direction  at  the  sound  of  their  voice  filling  his  ears  over  the  quartet  performing .      ❛      do  you  even  have  to  ask  ?  i’ll  distract  the  caterers ,  you  grab  anything  that  isn’t  seafood  ...  deal  ?      ❜

          the  first  thing  xiaohan  notices  is  the  ceiling  —  it  wasn’t  his  ceiling .  there  weren’t  multiple  paint  chips  and  obvious  signs  of  water  damage  along  with  various  cracks .  he  slowly  pushes  himself  up  onto  one  hand  while  the  other  runs  over  his  swollen  bottom  lip  then  his  barely  open  left  eye .  xiaohan  can  remember  the  source  of  those ,  however ,  the  dull  ache  on  the  back  of  his  head  was  a  mystery .  he  rubs  the  spot  where  a  small  bump  is  already  forming  and  winces  slightly  in  pain ,  quickly  pulling  his  fingers  away  to  examine  if  there  was  any  signs  of  bleeding .      ❛      what  the  fuck  is  going  on  ?  how  long  was  i  out  ?      ❜      he  wonders  aloud ,  completely  unaware  of  seojun  standing  in  the  corner  of  the  room .

luke  looks  confused  for  a  moment  at  her  words  but  follows  where  her  hand  reached  and  was  held  out  towards  him .   eyes  connect  with  the  pregnancy  test ,   the  two  lines .   everything  seemed  to  slow  down  as  he  reached  for  the  test ,   taking  it  gingerly  into  his  own  hands .   thumb  brushing  over  it ,   mari’s  words  sound  distant ,   as  if  luke’s  head  was  under  water .   it  wasn’t  a  negative  reaction  at  all ,   there  is  H A P P I N E S S  welling  in  his  heart  despite  what  his  facial  expressions  must  have  went  through .   finally  he  looks  up  to  mari ,   tossing  the  test  into  the  trash  can  and  standing  up ,   pulling  her  with  him  and  into  his  arms .   kisses  are  being  peppered  all  over  her  face ,   several  stamped  onto  her  forehead  and  down  the  bridge  of  her  nose  to  the  very  tip  and  the  last  kiss  planted  on  her  lips .    ‘  we  can  do  anything ,   we’ll  find  a  way .   do  you  want  to  do  this ?  ’

          mari  knew  deep  down  the  two  of  them  would  be  just  fine  taking  care  of  another  child ,  however ,  she  was  more  concerned  with  the  complications .  she  can’t  help  but  imagine  never  being  able  to  hold  that  baby ,  never  hearing  them  laugh ,  never  watching  them  grow  up  —  a  lot  was  on  the  line  which  meant  there  was  a  lot  more  to  lose .  she  sighs  as  he  covers  every  inch  of  her  face  with  kisses  and  his  excitement  has  her  feeling  guilty  for  automatically  expecting  the  worst .      ❛      there’s  no  one  else  i’d  want  to  have  another  child  with  than  you ,  let’s  just  hope  they  get  your  lips  ...  hm  ?      ❜      mari  reaches  out  to  run  her  thumb  along  his  bottom  lip  while  looking  into  his  eyes  thoughtfully .      ❛      it’s  ...—  not  a  matter  of  what  i  want ,  luke ,  it’s  about  the  things  that  are  out  of  my  control .  what  if  something  goes  wrong  ?      ❜
