it has endlessly pissed me off since i got into this show that the fans seem to believe that the reason Louis could never let go of Lestat and emotionally carried him everywhere he went is that Lestat is his "one true love" and he doesn't love Armand, instead of yknow. Louis having trauma bonded with his abuser who showed him so much intense love alongside manipulating and horrifically abusing him emotionally and physically.

So to have the show itself turn to the camera and say Actually Lestat is the love of Louis' life, and he never loved Armand, makes me SO FUCKING PISSED. Like I thought they got it. I thought they understood that Louis' inability to let go of Lestat was because of the "abused-abuser psychological relationship" that Daniel himself points out in season 1. But no, I guess not. god.

I think Rahne would take Dani's last name tbh. Airlie i think is a good compromise - i think Dani would want to honor her grandfather in her kid's name, and Rahne would want her kid to have a connection to her Scottish roots, and so Airlie feels like the best of both worlds.
