Bryce Quinlan will always be my favorite SJM FMC because she is so real. The way she talks? Real. The way she thinks? Real. I too only want to take my bra off and lounge after a long day.

Her being curvy only makes me happier to see a FMC with my body described on page and not just some twig. every time I see a fanart of Bryce with defined curves it makes me so happy.

House of flame and shadow isn’t real in my eyes. That book wasn’t good. But the first two made Bryce my Roman Empire of fantasy female main characters.

Normalize not bullying me for hating Nesta even in ACOSF until a month ago because at the time I had a Nesta in my life who deeply hurt me and caused me to have to process shit in therapy before I could let them go on good terms.

I never forgave them for what they did to me.

But after re-reading ACOSF I’ve realized that Nesta like this person who was in my life caused others pain due to their heartache. That they needed to be away and realize what they’d done to even heal themselves.

Nesta was cruel. This person was cruel. But there’s context to their actions that I won’t deny. They were hurting I was hurting.

After time I won’t hold that against them anymore.

Nesta isn’t my favorite character and she never will be but I don’t hate her anymore. People who hate Nesta go to therapy and stop listening to the Nesta Stan’s. If someone like her hurt you your feelings are valid too. It’s time to process that trauma and PTSD on both sides. It’s not one sided.
