I've been rewatching The Ribbon Hero trailers over and over, and I'm sure Sapphire still has both a female heart and a male heart in the reimagining.

You can literally see a glimpse of the boat that takes the unborn babies to earth in the trailer

and the fact that during the transformation, Sapphire's heart turns from red (female heart) to blue (male heart).

also, she is wearing a prince outfit, obviously based on the original Sapphire design when she'd be disguised as a prince (while Silverland is being destroyed, so I'm guessing the sexist law still exists)
