Little Witchling Ramblings

You've come to the right place sweetness. For clarity's sake I want to specify that I am not a professional. This is simply what I did to make the incense that I use. Always research your herbs and herbal mixtures, be aware of your allergies, and remember to use herbs from high quality sources to protect your health. And remember, the best witchcraft is safely practiced witchcraft.

What you'll need: Herb of choice (no correlations listed here, otherwise we will be here all night)

Coffee grinder (or a mortar and pestel, but baby we are in the 21st century work smarter not harder)

Tap water (charge it if you want for extra pizzazz)

Optional: oven, preheat to 190 degrees Fahrenheit

Step one: grind up your herbs in the coffee grinder, the finer the better. My herb was food grade lavender.

Step two: Divide the ground herb into two separate bowls, a wet bowl and a dry bowl. Into the wet bowl, mix into the herb with some water so the consistency is a modable clay. Sacred water is great for this.

Step three: Form the clay into a cone shape in any way that makes the most sense for your body. For me, that involves using my thumbs and middle fingers, but whatever way works best.

Roll the wet cone into the dry bowl, coating the cone in a layer of powdered lavender.

You can either leave the cone to dry over night, alternatively---

Place in oven for 40 minutes to an hour to dehydrate the cones!

Ta-da! I hope these directions inspire you to give this a shot yourself. I know I had a lot of fun making this lavendar incense, and I know I'm excited to make more in the future. Don't stop creating lovelies.

To Banish: • Burning to ashes and sweeping away the ashes • Cast out a window, down a cliffside, etc • Bury it and spit on the spot

To Bind: • Wrap in black thread • Cover in wax or other material • Seal in jar and hide in dark spot

Basil (st. john wort) - dispells confusion, love, projection, wishes, luck, success, protection, banishment, fidelity, trust, money, trust, deception, clarity. Calms, relieves pain, fatigue, improves clarity, eases a headache, antibacterial, aids bug bites

Bladderwrack (fucus vesiculosus, black tang, cudweed, rockwork,) protection, sea, and wind, travel, money. Aids arthritis, joint pain, digestive disorders, heartburn and anxiety (external use only)

Boneset (eupatorium perfollatum) - protection, exorcism, treats cold, cough and constipation. (don’t use if pregnant/breastfeeding, severe diarrhea w long term use)

Caraway (meridian fennel, Persian cumin) - luck, blessings, courage, love, protection, lust, health.

Cardamon - clarity, concentration, confidence, courage, lust, love. Relieves pain, uplifts mood, improves digestion, mental clarity, and memory

Calamintha - healing, optimism, High in methanal, treats contusions and bruising, depression, and grief

Today we have a new moon in the sign of Pisces!

When the moon is between the earth and the sun, we get a so-called New Moon. The Moon is hiding, the sky is dark, it’s a time for making a break and reflecting inwards. The New Moon is a time of rebirth - a time when we are given a chance to start fresh.

So now it’s in the intuitive and dreamy sign of: Pisces.

What should we put our focus towards right now?

- Try to accept imperfections in yourself and in others. - Start a creative project. - Consciously put aside time for peaceful, rejuvenating activities, like yoga and meditation, but can be as simple as recognizing your need for “down time” on a regular basis. - Practice putting yourself into others’ shoes, show compassion and empathy - Pisces words - and let some things just go (such as judgments, annoyances, etc.) - We are into art and being creative right now.

A key word, a ‘lesson’ right now is Release. Ah, what a wonderful word :) That comes through humbling ourselves to the idea that things will work out. We do not need to be “on” all the time. Give yourself a break from daily pressures, and surrender yourself to the idea that “what will be, will be”, at least for the time being.

THAT’S the attitude we’re going to focus on right now. Release some of the anxiety that takes control of our everyday life.

An example so you understand the mindset you should be trying to have right now is: if someone is blocking your way in the grocery store, tell that person, “Take your time”, and mean it! If that statement might be taken as sarcasm, don’t say it out loud, but think it. You might “lose” 20 seconds of your time waiting for that person to move out of the way, but you will have saved yourself the stress and negativity that comes from allowing yourself to get annoyed and impatient. Working on not getting so worked up. These are ‘small things’, but if we practise them enough, we will actually be able to incorporate some of the beautiful and calm Pisces lessons into our every day life.

Last but not least; organs and body parts that might be extra sensitive and need some extra care: feet, toes, hypophysis, pineal gland, endorphin, melatonin.

Déjà vu

A little while ago, I realized that there is NO info on what bones to use for what. I was clueless and had no idea where to begin. Research was fruitless and asking others came with no results. So I sat down during preap algebra 2 and made my own list. These are my own correspondences, based off of what I felt like and remembering bits of spells I’d thought about. They are 100% my own, taken from no one.
