When it came to photographs, without people as subjects, I could easily tell when it was my mom or I behind the camera. She liked birds and landscapes & I liked plants and trees and light. (We both liked taking pictures of strangers going about their business, nosy as always). And dad always took photos that were horrendously overexposed.

My love and resentment for my family are in constant juxtaposition. There was so much good, but so much bad. I can look kindly upon my past, but I'll break before I bring those mistakes and actions into my future.
