Being completely honest, I think we all started as fragments with no identity and latched onto characters we find comfort in.
It doesn't change much! We have some pseudo-memories, like travelling the universe, the autobot-decepticon war, etc. Some of us get dysphoric, about our height, size and appearance mostly.
Despite the hard parts most of us wouldn't change it for the world, we're here for a reason and we're (mostly) good at our jobs.
