Lost Honey

hello again! so, i have been working on it, but unfortunately, i’m not able to start posting the comic again at this time. this is due to a lot of factors, but also because i’m having major surgery with a long-ish recovery time in two weeks, so it doesn’t really make sense to start up, only to have to stop again.

i’m sorry to disappoint. i’m hoping to start up again on the 1st Nov (LH’s birthday :3), but it’ll depend on how the surgery/etc goes. thanks for understanding (and a special thanks to those who have sent messages of support, it means so much!).

LH is taking a short break. without going into too much detail, this past chapter (2 years with no breaks) took a lot out of me and i’ve only just started to recover. additionally, this comic takes a lot of time to make, and i have some health stuff/ a few other projects that want working on. in the meantime, i’ll be forging ahead into arc 4, formatting arc 3 for print and dropping off progress tidbits here as i’m able.

Aaaand here we are at our final guest art for this round, an utterly jaw-dropping work by super-talented mate, Rini! I’m sure I don’t have to tell you (as it is readily apparent from this illustration) that Rini is just incredible at drawing characters with soft, luxuriant appeal and smooth, lively lines. Moreover, she has done some truly brilliant equine and centaur art, ergo, getting LHstuffs from her has been something of a grail for me >:3 Suffice it to say, her gorgeous rendition of Tarsus and Hennym is a thrilling and perfect way to close out Guest Month. Thank you so much, Rini!

This week’s guest art comes to us from Poland, by from the lovely and talented Tea! I first met Tea in the YWPD fandom and was blown away by the soft, glowy and luscious arts they produced. I was so hungry to have some of it for my own, and thankfully, they were sweet enough to oblige!  Just look at the play of colour and light... so delicious. And those fetlocks!! ::chef’s kiss:: There’s so much to love, here. I just can’t get enough!

...Speaking of which, I was also super lucky to receive art from Tea in a Pedal-themed Secret Santa event, so if you want to see a beautiful deertaur they drew for me (as well as many other gorgeous works!), check out Tea’s twitter!

today’s absolutely astonishing guest art comes from the incomparable suzanne!! i’m a huge fan of her work and it is such an honour to see her take a shake at my characters! those colours, those lines, mhrmy’s shirty little face... by the bye, have you read Brainchild? you really, really should. the story is super smart and intricate, the characters are brilliantly crafted and of course, the art is phenomenal. such an inspiration. after you’ve put your eyes back into your head from whence they popped out upon seeing this, go give it a read :3

continuing guest month, we have another lovely watercolour piece, this one from a dear mate, Snowfrost! Snowfrost is a very dear friend and fellow equine artist who is always coming up with new and marvelous ways to draw fantasy creatures that boggle the mind. she was kind enough to share some of her talent in the form of this lovely gift. i just adore the soft, wintery atmosphere...  thank you, darling!

welcome to our third guest month! as per tradition, we kick it off with a piece from the incomparable Cryptovolans! this time, they bring us shrike and spots rendered so masterfully in watercolour. i love having this up on my bulletin board at my work station, being able to see its majesty every day! you see, perytaurs (especially THESE TWO) are the antithesis of majestic, and yet, crypto has made them so. tis the sign of a true pro :3 thank you for yet another gorgeous work, crypto!
