Music is how the Heart and Soul Speak

You know for so long I have remained hopeful.  That maybe I would come out on top like I wanted.   But time and time again I am shown that you promising not to hurt me is what is killing me the most.   You have somehow made my world so much brighter yet so much darker at the same time. You said you would try but I just don’t see that anymore. You have been my rock through everything else that I have gone through over the last 8 months. Yet, you have brought me to my knees more than any of these other issues. You keep saying you’re going to try to move on. Yet today alone you said her name more times than I can count. Maybe I should take my own advice. But that would hurt me all too much. Everyone says I deserve better. Deep down somewhere in me I know I do. But my heart only wants you. We should have never happened in the first place. Maybe I wouldn’t be the way I am now. The most hurt I have ever been is now. Not back then. But here I am. You promised you would try. And I thought there was a shot in hell it would work. Yet here I am. Still waiting on you. Probably going to be waiting forever.
