When you start to fall into the social media trap of comparison, comparison is the thief of joy; that’s a fact. If you’re constantly comparing your career and yourself to others, you have to be wary of that.

At the beginning of my career, I used to think I wasn’t making an impact unless seven million people were affected immediately. But you start to realize that you could instead have a personal conversation with one person and change their life for the better...

I’m not interested in passive fans, so my goal is to feed and challenge the immediate fans, and for them to go and tell three fans. If it keeps growing like that, it’s growing at the right rate.
