Lost in Catlation

Since I'm currently stuck at work (Co-workers Sig Other had a stroke) it got me thinking I figure for episode 3 if you guys would want shorter posts of keeping the same length. So go ahead and vote I'll be back in hopefully 2 hours.

And here we are at the end of another episode, this one was long coming and I thank everyone who waited for this. Tomorrow I will continue towards episode three and do half it then and half of it the day after. With 4 hopefully on Monday and Tuesday, If I work Wednesday I will have to pause till next time so as to not leave a episode half done.  Hopefully this should allow me to catch up some time soon.  For now to review the episode! It was....Good! I liked it, it established a baseline added more to the mix and still left things vague enough for me to keep things in the back of my head.  I loved seeing Uo again for how awesome and rebellious she is.  Hope we see more of her, I liked Kyo and who he is and how his main motivation seems to be being acknowledged and loved by the Sohma family as one of their own.  Still don’t get why Yuki doesn’t just let him win would be a win win for both unless like Akito said not to go easy on him.  I’m surprised Kyo didn’t purposely fail the exam, which he could have easily.  poor boy seems to get tricked easily.  I enjoyed it.

And he just got flustered cause the moment she said I love you he stopped hearing everything as his heart stopped and was still for a minute or two.  When he came two she was asking to be his friend and he really doesn’t know how to respond, who would want to be a friend to Kyo?

You are??? Please enlighten me cause I honestly can’t He seems very at odds with himself a paradox, a cat in a box you could say.  Unable to be himself yet also showing who he is in a rather rough manner

Ohhhh Yeah, that makes sense.  I can see that, Tohru really does see the best in people even when they have shown her the worst they can be.  She is too pure for this world

Does he?  I mean maybe but I couldn’t see it, I’m surprised you could. at most he seems very just socially awkward

and here we are with everyone poking fun at Kyo and him taking it seriously even though he shouldn’t simply because he’s never dealt with this, all while Tohru tries to ask about his cooking.  it’s kinda funny how this is their normal now

And again he says Yes towards Yuki but didn’t intend Tohru to be the recipient and all because he got fired up due to Yuki looking at him.  Poor Kyo can’t catch a break.  I feel bad for him but Tohru took in stride and she didn’t seem to mind as much this time.  That’s good though they’re both learning how to talk to each other

Oh wait, he’s alive. Good, now let’s hope he doesn’t mess this up, cause once more he has been prone to doing that.  Hopefully Kyo learns how to speak with one foot in his mouth and not two.  

How is it lucky day?  Unless that’s an expression, one I have never heard if I’m honest.  Now let’s hope Kyo doesn’t explode on out poor Tohru while she does he best to defuse his rage

o...oh is he being flustered that she’s trying to be more personal with him? I mean, that’s very hecking adorable.  Poor Kyo just being a tsundere towards Tohru.  This poor guy, he can;t get his emotions in check.

Yes, indeed he is.  He’s trying to say sorry about everything he’s done so far.  It’s a hard step but one he’s sorta taken 1/4 of.  You should be proud of him Tohru for getting here.

Sweet child, no that’s not how you do this you’re just gonna put more thoughts into his already scrambled head.  You’re just gonna make him feel things he is not ready for, love shouldn’t be said out there so easily to a stranger you barely know.  

I..well darn, that’s deep. That really is how one learns to talk with people, to get to know people.  Shigure is a smart boi, and a good boi. Even if he is a Coyote.  As long as he doesn’t steal the moon it should be fine

You know, Shigure can be deep when he wants to, but he seems to hide it behind a very relaxed nature, it’s something I can admire, that and he seems to treat Kyo like a regular person.  Like a little brother of sorts it seems.  That’s nice of him

I...Is that the goal?  Is that what the Sohma need?  Someone to love them?  Why though, what does that accomplish? Will that make them not turn into animals?  This just makes me wonder what he meant by this.  Or did he mean just in general?

I mean, yeah that’s what I said to a few of the girls I dated, I would just ask “Why?” Then again my confidence isn’t all that great.  I can put on the mask but even then I do worry that I’m being played, so I can see where Kyo is coming from he doesn’t want to get hurt.  He is a soft boi a soft stupid stupid boi

Was she just replaying that throughout her entire shift, hot darn I really hope she got work done and not just moped about it while running the moment back through her head.  Really feel bad for Tohru

I...I find this endearing this girl considers herself a Cat and she probably has been trying her best to get Kyo to like her, but it’s just he’s not used to this sort of thing. Nor would he, it’s his first time dealing with it!

Was that in her head or to world at large.  Can she really hear the whispers of her mother?  That’s weird like pretty weird.  Tohru are you ok? did you hit your head or something? Is this a fever, did you get a fever again?

So they do ostracize him simply for who he is....I feel really bad for him, growing up like that must have really stunted him and caused the issues he has now, the way he talks, how he acts.  All because of how he is viewed within the family.  Really I can see why he’d want to be in the main house, he wants to be loved.  That really is all Kyo wants, is to be acknowledged for who he is.   No Tohru don’t!!! He has to do this! he has to be able to see his dream, his fate to fruition all you’re doing is making it harder for him.  You sweet innocent soul, you can’t save everyone with kindness

And here we have his one track mind getting his four feet and sticking them into his mouth, he means none of these words but sadly he can’t bring himself to not say them because she’s right now blocking him from his fight with Yuki and that is what he’s screaming at, not at her. At the fact he can’t fight Yuki in this form.

And here we have him realizing he made a huge mistake, a very costly mistake.  One he is slowly understanding he shouldn’t have done.  Poor Kyo, he has no really experience talking to people. what would have been learned with family was basically denied to him because of who he is.  

I mean, no he doesn’t he probably has very complicated feelings about you. It’s unfortunate but he can’t really control himself, he is more instinct driven than he is logical.  He acts more like a animal than he does a person.  Poor Kyo and Poor Tohru

I mean after what he did, wouldn’t you? I know I would have, the poor guy probably can’t face Tohru right now.  I wonder if he’s just been laying there wallowing in self pity this whole time.

I mean it’s not like you mean to, you’re just unable to control yourself.  It’s ok it happens to all of us.  We all have had moments like that where all we can see and do is something we can’t possibly stop because it’s out before we think on it

I wonder who’s fault that is, hmmm.  I’m on Kyo’s side cause this poor boy hasn’t been loved or cared about by anyone, except maybe his mother. I really hope his mother loved him.  Does he even have a mom?  Like who did he live with before making the mountain escape???

And there it is, he’s not acting maliciously or because he is angry.  He’s panicked he is out of his element.  Kyo can’t socialize with the opposite sex, his fear of becoming a cat probably compounds this to the point he probably is having a panic attack right now.  All he knows is that he has to get out somehow

And here we see a cat trying to run away from a situation is does not want, like a bath, or a full bowl of food, or human company.  Truly he is a man driven by his instincts more than he is logic.  He rather run away that try and confront the issue.  

I will give him this, he stuck the landing.  all Cats land on their feet, though I would have laughed if he had just face planted then and there due to his nerves overtaking his agility.  still I’m amazed he didn’t get hurt in the fall

I mean, you did approach him from behind when he was clearly in a panic.  Can’t argue with his fight or flight response, poor guy didn’t even see it happen I bet.  He just acted on instinct and made a run for it before it got worse.  At least maybe now they’ll back away hopefully.

I mean unlike you he probably has never dealt with this type of situation before he is in unkown waters at the moment and he’s sinking instead of swimming.  He can’t help it, like you can’t help pretending to be all cool

I mean it’s a safe choice, though i do imagine you then would be dealing with Akito and whatever he seems to be.  I still wonder what is up with Yuki not wanting to deal with anything Sohma related yet still is staying at a distinct Sohma house instead of on his own.

Yeah given the luxuries Kyo may have seen and how everyone else is treated, he probably grew up yearning for those things that Yuki is taking for granted.  I really am curious to see how the other family treats poor Kyo do they also just hold some disdain over him just because he’s The Cat?

I mean that could make sense, maybe because of what they’re tied to they end up always being rivals, like the White Dragon Emperor and the Red Dragon Emperor. Destined to fight even if they are born to the same family.  I feel bad for Kyo seems like he was destined to be a underdog.

Yet he doesn’t know how to act around people or rather he wasn’t allowed to learn how to be around people.  It really does feel like the sohma family really didn’t like Kyo, I can’t really get why beyond the whole he’s Cat and that is it.  Is there a reason he’s treated like this? There has to be some reason why

I really feel bad for him they’re just asking him because he’s a Sohma and not because they’re curious.  They just want to use poor Kyo to get to Yuki.  I really feel bad for him cause he doesn’t know how to handle social interactions with one person let alone a group.  Poor Kyo seriously

Huh what a straight faced liar, he just doesn’t want to deal with Kyo fangirls and wait....They’re after him not Yuki......What do the Sohma have that makes them so attractive to people, seriously???

Who’s Kyoka and even Uo is swayed by him, what is this stranger power the Sohma possess and does it have to do with them turning into animals.  Honestly this show brings out more questions than answers I really want to know what is going on here

and our resident Asura continues to surprise me, she feels the power that comes from the pair and is now understanding there might be something to them. For though she is in the darkness the waves shall guide her to the truth of the world!!

It really is him?!?! But where did he get the suit? Who gave him permission to wear a suit? That man can’t possibly know how to adult.  This is preposterous all I know about Shigure is wrong.  What has this world come to??

I...Well I guess if he’s meant to encompass all doggos, coyotes are kinda a bit of a trickster type and can be kinda mischievous as they are wise so that makes sense, what doesn’t make sense is Kyo finishing the exam and not realizing till after it was over that it was an exam.  Who’s that dumb???

I’m sorry what, so he was going to school.  But how the heck did he make there and back in a day if it wasn’t near by or maybe it was just a littler further away or in the opposite direction I guess

I mean, that is a fair reaction.  Just don’t be so harsh, let him have some food after all he had to deal with Kyo on the way back, he earned just the feesh at least.  Still I didn’t take Shigure for the trickster type.  He seems more the noble kind of guy to me.

I’m sorry what he passed to enter high school?  Is that a thing, do people really need to take exams to get into high school that isn’t private?  Wow now it feels like I got a easy ride into high school compared to these folks.  Dang

I....Wait so their school is just gonna take him, no questions asked.  No seriously is that even a thing, can schools do that? Like I wasn’t really aware you could do that.  That’s kinda interesting, though training for four months and still getting your butt whopped is kinda hilarious what did he do for four months just maybe practice? Maybe improve his kicks and punches?  Did he not invest time in improving his form, his stance, his technique?

But why? What happened that made them rivals? Is this just a thing cause of what they were born as?  Was it instilled in them by someone else?  Seriously why??

I....Wait are you serious did you like never notice it???? Just how much trash was in here???? Seriously do you guys not clean after yourselves?  How the heck could he have never noticed it.

Ok this is adorable she basically just moved along and continued to make dinner while he probably was just standing there in shock of Tohru’s amazing power to actually be a functioning human being.  Sohma family really is something I tell you.  I don’t get them.

I mean, maybe they went out to get food for the fridge they just found out existed, like you’re one to talk Mr mysterious man who can’t clean.  Or they probably had top do something without you.  

I....Why would Tohru imagine a secret toilet.  That’s just adorable if I’m being honest.  Wait why isn’t the chimney secret did she do that because she probably still believes in Santa.  Oh my god just thinking about the logic makes me think she’s just so adorable.

Of course she gets super happy about it, she is assuming and imaging it’s something else.  She’s just so precious and adorable.  truly Tohru is the beacon of hope within the darkness of this world.  

I...Who the heck is that man, no seriously is that Shigure.  It can’t be I simply refuse to accept the fact the man who looks almost homeless can actually wear a suit.  This is too far anime you have pushed it too far.  Get him back in his bathrobes already, also where would he have to go wearing a suit, just what exactly did these two do.  Oh wait in the intro Kyo looks like he was at the school.  Did....Did he really not attend any school before Tohru showed up?  What in the world.  No seriously what

You really need to calm down my dude, if it was your school inscription it is needed. you gotta get yourself educated you can’t just laze around like some sort of cat and expect to beat Yuki you gotta get some more stuff under your belt, like wrestling or dancing, or playing the flute

I mean, yeah that’s what I was saying, Yuki is a smart boi, even if he;s a rude boi.  Now Shigure doesn’t seem to be the sneaky type or maybe he is but that can’t be right.  After all all doggos are born to be good bois and good girls.  Some are just more good than others.  So Shigure isn’t or couldn’t be a trickster right? Why do you continue to be so polite and good?  What can I do to get someone as nice as you (Kat boops me and says I should stop eating spicy food). I really do love how formal she is and is trying her best to make a good first impression with everyone.  it’s so sweet.

And of course this rude boi is stuck in his own world.  Unsure of how to react or how to be in a normal non aggressive conversation though I do truly think it’s due to how he;s been raised by the Sohma family being told he;s not as important as most of the other family members which I feel is really wrong of them to do just because he happens to be the Cat

What do you think, you were being rude to poor Tohru who once again is in utter amazement at the kicking power of Yuki, he may as well be a Rider given just how good he can kick.  Though he might need to learn how to do a dive kick of some sort not just grounded kicks.  Gotta get air time with your finisher kicks.  

I mean, well that is one way to make a pun and it’s adorable how she just keeps going like nothing big just happened.  She really is such a sweet sweet girl.  Here’s to hoping she stays as happy as this.  Maybe even become happier.

Wait.....Did he seriously wait till the end of the school day to confront her on this?  I mean I honestly thought this was being done during lunch or something, not at the smack end of school.   He must have really had to think about what he had to say.  She really got past his first layer it seems

I’m pretty sure that’s not all he was thanking you for.  Like before he’s trying to play it cool but I really do think Tohru has gotten past that point and he probably would want to open up more but instead he will have to wait can’t be spilling everything so soon.

I.....Did it take Kyo all day to fix that one thing?  Wait does Kyo go to school?  Is he enrolled in anything?  Does he just laze around the house waiting to fight Yuki?  I mean nice, but still he has to have some schooling right?  He can’t have a lot of free time?

Is it really that hard to apologize or is it because this is your first time talking to someone outside of the Sohma family?  cause if so that can excuse your poor socializing skills.  That or you’re just as proud as any cat and don’t feel the need to because.  I feel that Though don’t be too proud Kyo after all you always seem to lose

And he didn’t even get a chance to say sorry because they get interrupted, it’s almost as if fate herself din’t particulalry like poor Kyo compared to the others in the household.  I don have to wonder why, it can’t just be because he’s the cat, can it?  Shigure has some comedic timing down quite pat, though....does that mean the Sohma all live within half a days travel of each other....huh that does make it harder to lie....

That’s great news!  That means she doesn’t have to become forgotten.  Well there went that dramatic tension, wait a moment. Something has got to happen or is this like a super feel good anime.  Gods after a season of Anime with betrayals this will be a palate cleanser won’t it.  Good I needed it, not saying the other one was bad, but it was literally all I could watch during the weeks when I’d wake up and get ready to work before going to work.

You know, she probably hasn’t had someone worry about her like this in years.  So its throwing her for a bit of a loop and making her feel like she is worth something, to someone at least.  I like that he thought about her before doing whatever it is they might do.

I mean, yeah it should.  You have a new friend here someone who really is trying hard to break away from their family rules because you have shown them a kindness they probably assumed was not for them.  It’s genuinely something you might be the first to ever show them too.

I...huh, I was not expecting that.  I guess it makes sense, Tohru is very much a self sacrificing person.  She rather take the hit than let someone else suffer for it even if it was a genuine mistake.   I respect that about her.

.....I do have to wonder, just how often has she had to tell herself to grin and bear it.  That this is alright and that it’ll all work out.  cause that isn’t right.  She shouldn’t be able to quickly be ok with such heavy things.  No one should.  Especially not someone as nice and as sweet as her.

And what’s that, the narrative amount?  Only long enough for a feeling or a comedic moment?  That timing doe, and here I just thought her pouring out her heart like that was what made him turn back.  Way to throw me for a loop show.  Next you’ll tell me McCree isn’t a cowboy he’s a outlaw.

Sometimes you hear a noise, and you often know to just keep walking, this is one smart student.  Though sometimes being curious can be a blessing.  If I had been her, I probably would have looked in to make sure they were ok.  Got to be courteous to other classmates ya know
