ok, so you're telling me sasuke and sakura have been dating since they were 12? I found a source that explained what kokuhaku is. It's the Japanese way for romance. Apparently, to accept a confession, they say their thanks to them, it means you don't reject them and you have started dating. This is related to sasusaku because in part 1 we get to see Sasuke accepting Sakura's confession before he leaves the village. He said "thank you", it's a thing for japanese couples to thank each other instead of telling them they love each other. This happened with Minato and Kushina when they were dying. Kushina and Minato thanked each other for everything. Sasuke had also shown tons of signs of his attraction to sakura by blushing at her, getting jealous, worrying about her, encouraging her, etc. Not to mention, he also never got into any type of relationship other than sakura because even when they weren't engaged or anything, he was already in love with her and made it clear he intended to date her.
