However, this also creates pressure to constantly produce engaging content while maintaining performance, blurring the line between athlete and influencer. Ultimately, those who understand branding, consistency, and audience engagement are gaining a major advantage, positioning themselves for long-term opportunities even beyond their playing careers.

College basketball is being reshaped by the NCAA transfer portal and NIL, creating a faster, more chaotic system where players move freely and get paid, giving athletes more power but making rosters less stable and the game feel more like pro free agency. It gives the players the power and allows them to have more say.

But this also makes things harder. Athletes now have to deal with a lot of public attention, keep their image in check, and not throwing shade to their program or teammates. A single post can quickly improve or damage their reputation. Social media gives athletes new chances, but also could be potienally a bad thing.

The downside is not everything posted by a "finfluencer" is factually correct and could be wrong or opinion-based, leaving viewers believing one thing when it is not true. Social media can be a powerful educational tool, but you must take everything with a grain of salt, which means doing a background check on the information.

On the one hand, social media offers chances for networking, creativity, and raising awareness of significant topics. However, it can also lead to false expectations, worry, and distraction. Many people find themselves scrolling for hours on end without noticing how much time has gone by. The secret is to strike a balance.

With the rise in funding, and NIL the scene for college sports has turned the transfer portal upside down. With the addition of essentially "paying" for players the portal becomes a market. Its really interesting to see how things play out, where the top recuits go and where the top schools will fund the NIL market. With investors and alumni dontations plus the various funding from the college millions of dollars in poured into college sports giving the player acess to become millionares while playing in college. Programs are changing there rosters, yearly now and what was once frowned upon(transferring) is super common.

Teams are fighting for the best possible seed to gain home court advantage, while other teams are losing on purpose to improve their chances of securing a higher pick in this year’s NBA Draft. This is something we have seen more frequently across the league in recent years. Several teams are within just a few games of each other, meaning their seeding can change dramatically based on these final matchups. As the playoffs approach, these games have become extremely competitive and exciting to watch. This is one of the best times of the year for the NBA, as the league’s biggest stars elevate their performance and prove why they are among the best in the world.

For me, watching The Masters is an unbelievable experience, and I hope I can go someday and watch it in person.

Golf is a very annoying game in the sense that it takes so much time to get good, and even when you get better, there are still days where it feels like you’ve never picked up a club before. That’s the reason so many people play; it’s the rewarding feeling of overcoming those humps. Learning how to be a patient person is a skill that can come in handy in the long run.
