Morgan:

Was actually the first born, but no one was expecting twins, let alone conjoined twins, and in the mayhem that followed, this detail got mixed up

(This one I’ve seen around and agree with) His hand hurts more than Custis’s where they severed them. He also has numbness there occasionally.

Is the most “down to earth” out of the Pendleton sons. Doesn’t mind the courtesan’s calling him just “Morgan” without the honorific “lord”. This doesn’t mean he’s not a pompous asshole, though. Just slightly less so.

(This one is also universally agreed upon, maybe because of Treavor’s line “slightly larger of the two brutes”) Morgan isn’t as clever as Custis, but he’s more athletically inclined. Hunting, wrestling, boxing, etc. Rich people sports only, though.

If Custis wasn’t born, Morgan and Treavor would have gotten along fairly well (at least after their father died.)

He was their Mother’s favorite. She feared Custis.

Went to one of those Outsider worship circles at the Brimsley’s once. Saw a few premonition of his own death in the mines. Doesn’t try that again.

Fast to be provocation, quicker to violence, but he knows when he’s outmatched in both physical and mental capacities. Has no qualms with bowing out of conflict for self preservation.

Custis:

He’s ambidextrous!

I agree that he has chronic migraines! And I also think they’re what makes him so prone to cruelty.

He also has terrible insomnia.

He’s not a natural born genius or anything. He just works at it. Ambition is the only thing separating him and Morgan.

In the same way that Havelock and Martin thought they could manipulate Emily in their favor, Custis was convinced he and Morgan could do the same and that’s why he agreed to hide her away. But they had WAY less of a chance than Havelock and Martin ever did.

Speaking of Emily, she elbowed him in the nose during the first week of her stay with them and made him bleed. He would have actually killed her if Morgan hadnt been there.

He shares dreams with Morgan sometimes! Even after they got separate rooms (took them 20 years btw). And over morning tea he’ll often want to discuss them.

This creeps Morgan out btw.

Contrary to popular opinion, Custis does have a sense of humor! He does know how to relax and have a good time! He just can’t fucking afford to!!!!

Redrew that one Custis/Val piece I traded back in 2023 with @lydiaboyle ! Mostly just wanted to redo Custis's face, as I never could get it right.

It's been a while but I finally did what I promised back in February.

Have you used WWiser to rename Dishonored 1 audio files from "3738006964", "3342369226" and so on into something looking a bit more like this...

...but have been frustrated by the fact that all the spoken dialogue recieved unintelligible names that require the usage of decompilers and a ton of cross-checking if you want to identify specific lines?

Here is my solution for you! My python script will rename those files into names that can contain any of the following information: the name of the file (i.e. map/level) this line originates from, which character speaks it, what the name of the conversation it's in is and what its ID numbers are (note: every line of spoken dialogue is a "Blurb", and every Blurb belongs to a Conversation which usually groups Blurbs by scene, topic etc. Both Blurbs and Conversations have ID numbers to identify individual llnes), and what text it contains. You can use as much or as little of this data in your filename as you like, in whatever order works best for you.

For example, here are files using the naming scheme of "map name", "conversation name", "character name", "conversation and blurb ID":

As you can see you can feel free to mix and match whatever style of file name works best for you, and therefore find the lines you're looking for easily.

You want to hear every single line of dialogue spoken by the Outsider? No problem.

Every line spoken on Kingsparrow Island? Sure.

Just want to hear every available version of an aristocratic male clearing his throat? Hint: that's DisConv_NonWord_7 in the "Dlg_AristocraticMale_Shared" set.

Or as a final example, do you remember the text of a specific voiceline and want to listen to it directly? Easy peesy lemon squeezy.

Note: while I used the program to rename txtp names as seen above, as long as you have used WWise to generate files that carry the "Play_[...]" names this program will be able to rename them, even if you converted them to mp3 or any other format first.

What you'll need:

python 3.0+ installed

my DH1 voiceline renamer zip file found under the "Releases" on this page

Tutorial:

unzip the zip file somewhere, keeping the two .py files in one folder

either double click the "Dishonored 1 voiceline renamer" py file or use the command line by entering the following commands:

cd [wherever you unpacked the zip file] python "Dishonored 1 voiceline renamer v1.3".py
