“And then, this is a private announcement, but I got married this year. Together with my partner, I will keep making progress both as a mangaka and as a person. By the way, there was a time when my former assistant asked me ‘did you get married with Yamamoto Arisa-san?’ The name of my partner is not Yamamoto Arisa. The reason of such rumor was a report manga work from the Magazine Pocket editorial office. A character in the manga shared the same name with Yamamoto-san. The author of the manga has apologized to me ‘sorry I caused you some inconvenience…’ But I didn’t pay attention at all back then. However… we still caused some trouble to this Yamamoto Arisa-san…  I will feel really happy if you (readers and fans) can just keep watching over us with a warm heart!

Japanese public figures/celebrities are notoriously private about their personal lives (If they choose to be).

The fact that Isayama even revealed this to the public is a big deal. Then again, he is of a new generation of young mangaka and even has a blog to do so!
