It often feels to Mr. Pettigrew like a very nice fiction, but there’s still a version of the little rat that likes to make people feel good and important and loved. The part of themselves that they want to hide from the world: Wormtail is more secret than man these days, an anxious mess of a thing that feels swallowed by his cowardice and the single simple truth of him: he believes in nothing, stands for nothing, and wants nothing but to live, no matter what it takes.

Their views on blood politics/purism: It’s not a priority for Pete. Truly, he just does not give a single shit about it one way or the other. He has individual affection for various Muggleborns and various purists, but does not expand to think about these beliefs in any “big picture” way.
