i do think it's interesting that connor seems to be closest with roman, of all the siblings, considering it's their abuse that's getting used as a blunt instrument against their father - and not by them, only by kendall or shiv when they want to point out logan's shortcomings.
connor was neglected, and all the siblings know that and won't hesitate to bring it up if it means humbling their dad, but they'll simultaneously go to connor's wedding rehearsal and spend the entire time talking about a deal that they only care about because it'll fuck over their father. they were going to kick him out of the bar just to talk about it, until roman forced the issue and addressed it at the table with him still there.
and roman getting hit comes up constantly, but only, again, to get one over on their dad. it's taking roman, who doesn't want to be part of this argument, and utilizing him as a weapon against a man he's terrified of.
kendall and shiv and their objectification of the trauma of the two characters most avoidant of fighting logan, under the guise of "defending" them, when really it's about their inability to recognize their own abuse, forcing them to co-opt roman and connor's at the expense of their feelings. roman and connor and the shared bond of siblings who are the "jokes" of the family, whose trauma gets used as a proxy for the "serious" siblings' own trauma.
