im happy to finally have an update for you all for this mod, as i know some of you were really interested in the additions to it. I want to thank you guys for being so patient with me lmao i really appreciate it!

now onto the updates!

11 new scents

1 new trait that comes with 1 flirty interaction

New Interaction: Confess Scent Attraction

I wanted there to be a flirty type of interaction when it comes to aroma's and scent's but i also wanted it to be more interactive, so the interaction is one that creates a yes or no pop up that deals the new trait for this mod. (ignore the random sims i made for testing TvT)

Selecting yes will apply the new trait, "Attracted to Partners Scent".

Selecting no will do nothing.

I thought this was a really cute addition for your couples or lovers :D

Your sim will also get a proximity buff when around their partner!

Attached to this trait is 1 flirty interaction, i do plan on adding more in the future but for this small update I felt that 1 would be sufficient.

New Flirty Interaction: "Tease about Smelling Nice"

This interaction comes with custom buffs as well.

hiya!! Im happy youre enjoying my mod :D I have no objections with you adding your own scents! In fact I encourage it, I didn't add that much because I didnt want everyone's pie menu to be overloaded and slow the game down, so I had to pick and choose which ones I thought would be popular. But by all means, you can for sure add your own!

As for how to, I can look into it. I created the mod with Mod Constructor v5 by zerbu, but its technically an outdated application and you can't import mods into it. The next best option would be to use Tuning Builder, but frankly im worried about the vast amount of parts the mod would be separated into if its put into tuning builder. So what I propose is:

Either I can go over converting it into Tuning Builder and post a tutorial on adding your own personal scents OR you can tell me the scent(s) and i can just add the scents into the mod myself without going into Tuning Builder. The mod is due for an update anyways, where I'll be adding a few more requested scents and fixing a few issues, so just lmk!

hi guyss! I'm happy to share with everyone a new social interaction mod that I've created to add just a tad bit more realism with your sims conversations.

With this mod, your sims will be able to announce their relationship to other sims! While playing I found it kind of annoying that they couldn't tell others of their new relationship, so I made a quick social interaction to fix that, as well as multiple buffs for both your sim and the target sim. I hope you all enjoy!

ive been working on more and more mods, learning sooo much about what goes into mod making and let me just say-- i applaud every single mod creator in the sims TvT cause WOW its so much work! lmao

but its rewarding! I wanted my sims to feel more immersive and feel more personal so this small mod here is for Signature Scents! and im very excited to share with you guys. I ended up making a good amount of custom icons and lets just say it was good practice for the future! photoshop can do so much its crazzyy

anywhozers, heres the mod info! (featuring my nsb gen 1 sim)

Mod Features

20+ Scents

6 Scent Preferences (Likes/Dislikes)

2 Social Interactions (+1 Solo interaction)

8 Buffs (Custom Proximity Buffs)(actually might be 10 lmao)

Instructions:

While having cheats enabled, (ctrl+shift+c, testingcheats true) locate the Assign Signature Scent Pie Menu.

Then...

There you will find multiple sub menu's of the scents separated by type. You will also find an interaction to remove scents. This interaction if used will remove ALL scent traits, so if you have more than one equipped it's best to remember so you can reapply them afterwards.

You will also find an Assign Scent Preferences Menu. In there you will be able to assign your sims Liked and Disliked Scents.

Once you assign a scent, it will show up in your traits menu! And that's it, easy as pie.

Your sim will have an occasional happy buff when they have a scent. They will also get proximity buffs depending on their liked/disliked scents. For example, if your sim dislikes floral scents and they are around a sim with a floral scent, they will get an uncomfortable buff from being in the same proximity as them. And vise versa for liked scents as well.

This mod includes 2 Social Interactions;

Compliment Scent Choice & Ask about Signature Scent.

Ask about Signature Scent can be used if you assigned a scent to a NPC and forgot what it was (possibly something i did lol), you can use this interaction and they will tell you. It's also good for basic storytelling and immersion.

There is 1 solo interaction, called Apply Signature Scent. This interaction will apply a happy buff to your sim. This interaction also does not have an animation.

LAST BUT NOT LEAST...

If your sim is assigned a scent, they will gain a happy buff that's specific to their scent, occasionally.

Now for the scent list. Some scents are flirty scents, meaning they will give anyone in the proximity a flirty buff.

Note(s):

The action of applying a scent/scent preference is directed to the target sim, meaning you do not have to control a sim in order to assign them a scent. You can give NPC's scents easier this way!

UPDATE(S)

For those interested in the Amber Scent and could not find it in the list of scents, I have came out with a fix! Please download the files in the "AmberScentFix" subfolder. For those who arent particularly interested in the amber scent, you do not really have to download the files as the next update will come with the fix included. So sorry for the troubles!
