Twenty years after the initial spread of the pandemic Cordyceps Brain Infection (CBI), the remaining 40% of survivors have done what they can to survive. Many survivors live in quarantine zones, though pockets of survivors have settled in abandoned buildings to make a new home for themselves. Supplies are constantly in demand and, as such, have created factions among the survivors: the Fireflies, an anti-government militia group dedicated to finding a cure and taking down FEDRA; the Hunters, known for their animalistic brutality, that want nothing more than to keep their territories safe from outsides; FEDRA, a government organization that created and now struggle to maintain the established quarantine zones; and Independent survivors, who are just trying to survive without becoming tangled with the other warring factions.

He tried to hold back his smile, maybe to go for one last attempt to convince him that he didn’t, in fact, like her. But it was futile. The smile was determined to appear. 

So this cooking class, for all that Luke didn't care about it, just presented him with an opportunity for a great reward. A great reward that included not only stuff, but things as well, in a closet; getting down and dirty like a couple of horny high school students in a closet was something Luke and Luke hadn't done in a great while. Enduring a cooking class seemed like a small price to pay.

And Luke was a simple man with simple pleasures. So he grinned, catching Luke's hand and giving it a quick squeeze.
