She knew straight away that something was off, and had to pretend she believed Dylan’s story to get him to see her in person.

Jack did not request to be cremated; it seems Dylan did that of his own accord to prevent any additional autopsies.

Dylan keeps them waiting pretty much all day before finally arriving, and the first thing Jack’s mother does is retrieve her son’s ashes. It seems she expected him to do something drastic when confronted if she didn’t secure them first. “He’s safe now, he’s home where he belongs”

Dylan notices the cameras, and she tells him that they’re filming to use in a video tribute at the wake. Almost immediately after that, she begins confronting him about what he’s done and demanding to know why she wasn’t contacted at all, to which he has no decent answer.

Not once does she let him be in his delusion. Every step of the way she’s calling him out.

Jack’s possessions and insurance money were meant to be left to his austistic older brother, but two weeks before his death his will was suspiciously changed to make Dylan the sole benefactor. When she confronts him about this and asks him if he thinks he needs the money more than Jack’s brother, he claims that he was going to give the money to them anyway. Nobody believes that.

“I wish you were dead”

“I wish I was dead too” yeah Dylan, I’m sure.

There are still men who act the same way Dylan does, taking advantage of the insecurities men have and pulling them into toxic, abusive relationships. They still have popular blogs on this platform.

Jack’s story is a tragic tale. We can’t save him, but we can save the men just like him who can’t help themselves right now.
