Ava contemplated telling her but decided against it, not wanting to be even more of a downer than her overall long day. “Depressingly long day with my own stresses thrown into the mix.” She sighed and shrugged her shoulders. “I’ll be okay. Thank you.”
Loo nodded understandingly, not breaking her gaze on the other’s face. She would confess she wasn’t great at reading emotions, but she would also confess her new table-companion wasn’t great at hiding them. “Are you sure? You seem sad. I know how that feels ---- being sad, and alone, and ----” She cleared her throat, stopping herself from continuing. She really needed to stop prying. “It’s okay. You don’t have to talk about it if you don’t wanna. I understand that, too.”
