Recent high-profile success story Como want to turn season tickets into a loyalty test: miss too many games and you risk losing your place. The logic is simple — the club is trying to ensure the stadium is full of regular, committed supporters rather than casual “good-times only” buyers.

In my experience, though, true club supporters buy their season tickets even when they know life circumstances reduce their chances of being there for one or more seasons. They are the ones who financially sustain a club when the cycle of success goes against it - sometimes for decades at a time!

One recent example being all those fans who bought season tickets during the Covid lockdown. Saved many clubs from going under.

So weaken those bonds at your peril!

One solution is to earn your right not to go. Season ticket holders when Como were complete nobodies (relegated even to Serie D in recent times!!) definitely should be exempt.
