I finished binge watching The Society a couple days ago, knowing it was cancelled before it got a second season.

1 I disliked Allie. And that goofy smile she did when Lexie was talking about how she had to undress in front of the Guard, that smile made me hate Allie even more. I can't stand her.

2 Elle is awesome. Her relationship with Campbell was awesome until the reveal that he's a violent psychopath who can't love her. Real bummer, because that was my favorite pairing in the show.

3 Grizz is awesome. I got a lot of respect for him when he opted out of killing Dewey. The guy has a heart of gold.

4 I actually like Lexie and sympathize with her.

5 During the tag football thing outside on the Thanksgiving episode, I loved the scene when Jason is scolding Will after he got tackled by Kelly. Man, I wish this show got a second season.

6 When they played Fugitives in the second episode, that was awesome. Too cool.

7 That girl in the green prom dress, Jessica, I wish we saw more of her. She was one of those minor characters I became fond of, even though she was barely in the show. She should've been a side character or main character. You cannot show a beautiful character walking in a ruined street while wearing a beautiful dress and not promote her to main character status.

8 When Sam scolded Allie and she was just looking at him, I LMAO'd.

9 I loved the Will and Kelly ship.

10 I loved the Allie/Cassandra sister bond. Like when Allie used herself as a human shield when Campbell pointed his gun at Cassandra. That's sisterly love right there. Allie was a bit of a jerk to Cass sometimes, though.

11 I loved the Gordie and Cassandra pairing. When he said he was going to learn to take care of her, man, my heart ❤️

12 Allie was right when she defended Campbell when Will wanted him executed. You can't kill someone for something they might do. People IRL want to punish people with mental disorders just because they might hurt someone in the future, which is wrong. You punish people when they actually commit a crime. Not before.

13 I love how Allie grieves Cassandra's death. How she lays on her death spot. This show didn't do the cliché non-stop sobbing. The writers made Allie mourn in creative, realistic ways.

14 Someone on Reddit said The Society isn't groundbreaking television, and the person didn't elaborate. How is this not groundbreaking television?

15 That nightmare about the Guard slitting Will's throat and shooting Allie. Pretty cool. And wonderful foreshadowing, considering the Guard betrays Allie and Will in the end. Also, Luke's girlfriend, Helena, was cool until Elle revealed that she (Helena) called Elle a thot. That was so weird and jarring, considering Helena seemed like such a nice character until that moment. Elle is a sweet angel BTW. She deserved better.

16 Kelly was awesome. But I hated it when she cussed out that one girl for saying generalizing men is wrong. Happened in episode 3 at the meeting building, I believe. Also, I had a short-lived theory that Harry and Kelly were brother and sister, because of the fact their parents were having an affair with each other. I figured Harry's mom gave birth to him and Kelly. I guess I watch too much House of the Dragon.

17 I knew the bus driver in the photos was going to become a big deal. I noticed how they kept showing his face whenever the school bus trip pictures were shown, and I knew this would be brought up later.

18 I wish Campbell got killed off.

19 I wish Cassandra lived. I do have to mention that I know she got killed off before I even watched the show. I spoiled it for myself. But I forgot who the killer was. The mystery surrounding the murderer was messing with my mind lol.

20 Wishing this show had more hugs. Allie and Cassandra didn't hug at all.

21 All Becca did was be pregnant. That seemed to be her only thing. She seemed more like a figment of Sam's imagination, since she hardly interacted with any of the other characters.

22 I really hate Allie's character. Kelly and Grizz should have been the main two characters. Also, Will is painfully bland as a character. At least Allie has some complexity to her. Will is one-note and his thing seems to be "I had a bad life" and nothing else.

If it does get published, the best case scenario would be it being self published. Worm is too long to be published as a traditionally published work. It's too long and so many changes would be made. Plus, it would take forever to edit all of that. Traditionally published authors are advised to not write the sequel until the first book is actually out. Wildbow and his 1 million word long Worm cannot traditionally publish that thing. If he does, there's no way Worm would be able to be published as it is. A traditionally published Worm would practically be a remake. I don't doubt Wildbow would have to start from scratch and rewrite the entire Worm story if he wants it to be traditionally published.

It took me too long to realize this(only just now figured it out a few weeks ago) But in season 10 episode 12 of The Walking Dead, the Whisperer who got wounded by Judith begs her not to finish him off.

I watched The Blackcoat's Daughter.

Also, I've already spoiled this movie for myself and watched a recap, before even seeing the movie. But I watched the whole thing anyway.

This post is all over the place because this movie is all over the place. It's told in non-chronological order. Lots of time jumping.

Emma Roberts plays Joan.

Kiernan Shipka plays Katherine.

Lucy Boynton plays Rose.

It's about two girls alone in a boarding school, two nuns watching over them, another plot thread involving a young woman named Joan and her desire to get to a certain town, and a demon that links the two stories together.

Spoilers ahead.

It opens with a schoolgirl named Katherine. She has a dream of a wrecked car. A strange man comes in and out of her room. The movie shows her sleep, then awake, then sleep again. But I think she actually is supposed to be sleep when they're showing her as awake in the morning scene. The strange man, who you can't even see the face of BTW, is with Kat as she views the wrecked car in her dream. The truth is that her parents are dead. She doesn't know it. And she's eager to see them. RIP her happiness.

The strange man is supposed to be the demon, I think.

Anyway, Katherine lives at a boarding school. The weirder she gets, though, she actually wants to live at the boarding school. Even though she can't, because her parents are dead. IDK. This is a bit hard to explain. But if her parents are dead, she can't live at the school anymore. Which is actually the case. Either way, Kat spends some time not knowing her parents' fate. And the viewer (us) doesn't get explicitly informed that her parents are dead. We don't even know how they die. Car crash, apparently.

This movie is weird. Some of it is pretty vague. There's aspects of this movie that make it seem "empty". Like it's lacking something. The whole film is "off".

Spoiler alert. Kat is Joan, who is intent on reaching that town. It's actually the town where the school is. Joan is an escaped mental patient. In there for the murders of Rose(former schoolmate) and the nuns(old ladies who worship the dear Lord above) Joan actually gets Rose's parents to take her near the town, then she murders them. She wants to please and reunite with her headmaster (the demon) It's not referred to as the headmaster, but it's pretty much Joan's master. So the word fits.

Long story short, the demon is gone. Because Joan was exorcised of it when she was still a teenager at the mental institution. Funny thing is, some fans of the movie think Joan/Kat was just schizophrenic. But she literally floats above her bed during the exorcism. How tf can you explain that in a non-supernatural way?

Anyway, take a shot each time someone says headmaster. Especially Kat.

Teen Kat is at the school during break. Her parents didn't come(they're dead) Rose is older and meaner. She's there too. But she thinks she's pregnant because she missed her period, and she purposely set things up so she could stay at the school for break too. She wants to avoid her parents. Rose wants to avoid everyone. She's really aloof and it's hard to like her. The girl isn't even pregnant. She doesn't even takes a pregnancy test. Just jumps to conclusions.

Her actress is Lucy Boynton. Young British lady. She mimics an American accent. I am trash at noticing accent slips, but even I noticed her accent slipping when her character is talking to Kat in her dorm room. When she's getting ready to see her BF(not baby daddy) In one sentence, the first few words sound very British. Haha.

"You know I'm not babysitting

you tonight right, Freshman?"

That line. You can really hear Lucy's British accent there.

Rose and the nuns were arseholes. It's hard to care when Kat murders them. Rose's mom was cold too. You only feel a bit bad when Rose's dad gets killed. Because he was the only decent person in this movie.

FLAWS

1 One thing I didn't like about the movie is its lack of heart. I prefer seeing affection and genuine care between characters in media I consume. TBCD didn't have that. These characters were acting so cold and distant. I hated that. Rose especially.

2 Lowkey horror. There's less excitement here. Less scary things happen. It's really slow.

3 Adult Joan and teen Joan(Katherine) are the same person, but I don't get the sense they're the same person. They have the same hair, and same gunshot wound, but they don't even seem like the same person.

4 Joan's scenes were pretty boring. Somehow her first scene at the bus station and her last few scenes were the ones I liked of her the most.

5 It's not explicitly said what happened to Kat's parents, which is annoying. But it's implied they died in a car accident. We never even see them.

6 I don't want to call this movie boring, but it's definitely a lot less intense. Most of the good stuff happens near the end.

7 The lack of humor. Nothing to laugh at in this movie. Just coldness and creepiness.

PROS

1 I love how more deranged Kat looks as the movie goes on. Eventually she looks and acts more like her adult self(Joan)

2 I like the part after Katherine calls the nun a cunt, and then she's mentioning the headmaster while she's alone in the room with Rose while the nuns are near the phone.

3 The Kat and Rose flashback scenes are pretty interesting.

4 The non-chronological order was pretty great.

5 Great detail: Kat raising her ups in the shape of the demon's upright, straight horns. I'm not sure if that was intentional, but it was brilliant. I seen that part multiple times, but I only recently realized those raised arms looked like the demon's horns.

6 The exorcism scene was great. It's cool how the demon literally turns, as if to leave the room like a normal person, then the next shot it isn't there at all anymore. Just gone.

7 It's not explicitly said that Kat and Joan are the same person, but the clues are there. So it doesn't come out of nowhere when you realize the truth.

Joan has the shoulder wound.

She sees a memory of Father Brian.

She sees a surgery team.

She has the same hair as Katherine.

Joan's ID is stolen from someone else, showing she is lying about her true identity. Joan is Kat. Kat is Joan.

Kat knows Father Brian. You even see him in her scenes. If someone realizes that Joan knows him too, and has the same hair color as Kat, you can guess that Kat and Joan are the same person very early on.

Kat gets shot. She survives. Like how Joan got shot and survived. More proof they are the same.

8 It's brilliant how this movie about two different time periods fools you into thinking it's just one time period. The truth is that one plot thread takes place several years apart from the other plot thread.

9 The last demon phone call was pretty cool.

10 The last scene with Joan sobbing while alone was pretty cool too. Great acting from Emma Roberts.

11 The furnace not being on and it being cold was a nice touch, showing Joan's demon daddy was truly gone.

12 The demon calls Kat baby girl

13 It's understandable that Kat would go off the rails and kill people for the demon. If you notice, Kat had 0 friends and everyone in the movie was cold to her. Funnily enough, the only person who shows teen Kat warmth and kindness is the demon.

14 Nice touch: When Kat calls the nun a cunt, the word is distorted. Like a demon talking. And in one phone call to Kat, the demons tells her to kill all the cunts. This shows Kat was possessed during that scene with her insulting the nun.

15 The small cast and lack of warmth made me feel alone lol. You feel what Kat feels. It's fitting that this film is set in winter.

16 Joan prettying herself up before going to see demon daddy after murdering two people. Nice.

17 Rose being scared of creepy Kat was funny. And "You had your chance" indeed. Rose only acts nice to Kat when it's already too late. The girl is too far gone then.

I watched the first episode of Finding Carter today. A rewatch, actually. Took me several days, but I got it done today.

Years ago, when I was a teenager, I was a fan of Finding Carter. But my memory is so fuzzy now. I pretty much remember nothing from those days. I don't even know if I ever seen an episode of season 2. I don't even know how much of season 1 I watched. But I know some spoilers of Finding Carter. And I vaguely know some other things, but kinda not really.

Anyway, I watched the first episode of FC. Here are my thoughts. And here are my thoughts about FC in general, which never got a season 3.

These points aren't in "chronological" order.

1 The last non-Finding Carter thing I watched that has Kathryn Prescott in it is the movie Polaroid. I watched that in full. I only seen some glimpses of Kathryn in Skins. On YouTube. I didn't like Polaroid that much, but I think Prescott is a great actress. She seems so cool. Finding Carter was the first exposure I had to her.

2 I really like the little brother. I don't even remember his name, but he reminds me of myself a little bit. He was a premature baby and is intelligent. Just like me. That much is clear from the first episode. Also, I have a vague memory of my teen days and seeing Carter's little brother hug her when she is in the hospital bed. I loved their relationship. I get the feeling Carter loves her little brother more than she loves her sister. I'm not complaining.

3 I don't even remember Taylor. LMAO. Completely forgot she existed. Before I did some research on Finding Carter years after being a fan of the show, I didn't know Taylor existed. I simply forgot. I see the way she acts in the first episode, and I really see her as this petty, spiteful person. Being jealous of her own twin sister at the party. Seriously? And trying to make her hair more noticeable to Gabe. Girl, chill tf out. He's not into you. It reminds me of incel guys trying to impress a girl who just doesn't want them, and never will. Taylor, you are a femcel I will never be fond of.

4 I vaguely remember the grandfather and him hugging Carter. I love that scene. Especially now that I appreciate grandparent-grandchild bonds a lot more now than I did in the past. Carter really loves her grandpa, and that's just sweet. She even calls him pop-pop. Hugs him too. She doesn't hug any of her other family.

5 As of right now, I love Carter's relationship with her "fake mom". Spoiler alert: Carter is her actual biological daughter. Because Lori's egg or something like that. Lol. Either way, I wish Carter and Lori would stay together. Look, I know Lori kidnapped her, but I really love their bond. Lori is so loving. It's also realistic how Carter loves her and helps her escape. Wholesome too, in such a twisted way. Stockholm syndrome. I'm just now realizing that's what Carter has.

6 That last line about Carter's "real mom" being her true abductor. Wow. Amazing scene. Absolutely golden.

7 "Stop saying she goes by" I'm paraphrasing because I doubt that was the exact line, but that was really funny. Carter is a funny girl. Her insults to her real family was hilarious.

8 Carter backing away when she found out her real parents were going to see her. Haha. Pretty funny too. It was pretty cool to hear her real mom call her Linden.

9 Carter gets a job the very next day after seeing the manager? You go, girl.

10 So, the real mom's detective boyfriend stalks Carter on a road trip for two hours straight? Weird. How would she not know she was being followed that entire time? And I wouldn't even have the energy to follow someone for that long, then do that drive back to my city. Sounds exhausting.

11 I expected more hugs. You would think that the real mom would hug her daughter who was missing for over a decade. If that was me, that's what I would do. Not even the grandma hugged Carter. IDK the only decent person in this family right now is the grandpa. I like the little brother, but he isn't that highly regarded by me right now.

12 That was badass how Lori just moves directly past the police at the end.

13 I really don't like Taylor. Based on the things fans say about her online, I don't believe that opinion will change.

14 From what else I heard, the dad is a bad character too. He sure does seem like it. He seems really aloof and distant, but it's like he's going a halfway decent job at hiding it. But it's still too obvious. Dad is weird.

15 I really want to know how Lori managed to avoid being arrested while Carter was in the police station.

16 Lol at the car scene. After the party. Taylor was sleep in the back the whole time. I like Carter and Gabe together.

17 Carter is really close to the people you would think she would be less close to. She loves her grandpa more than her real parents. She clearly likes the brother she didn't know she had.

18 This is a pretty good show. It deserved more seasons. I wish I could remember all the parts I seen that came after the first episode.

19 I was under the impression that Carter was staying in the same town she got kidnapped from, during her kidnapping. It makes sense that Lori moved away with her. That explains why Carter's real family never seen her in public when she was still young. Would have been an awkward situation haha.

20 It's crazy to me how someone could forget they were kidnapped. Even a toddler. How does that work? One day Carter woke up as a kid and completely believed Lori was her true mom? Forgot everything else about her life and past?

21 By the end of the first episode of Finding Carter, I only like Carter, her little bro, her grandpa, and Lori. Maybe Gabe as well. Everyone else just isn't interesting.

I first reviewed Vengeful on my currently deleted Tumblr account, Spaniard Seer. And I can't remember if I posted a review of Vengeful on this account, so I'm making sure to do it now.

First of all, I have to say I hated Vengeful. But I loved Vicious, the first book, so much.

Second of all, VE Schwab still has my respect. I just don't like this sequel at all.

Third of all, please understand that this is my opinion of Vengeful. I'm not trying to hate on this book just to hate on it.

2 out of 5 stars is what I rated Vengeful.

It's not 1 out of 5 stars, because this novel still kept me a bit entertained. I just didn't like it, ultimately.

1 This book read like a really bad fanfic written by someone who isn't even VE Schwab. That's how I can describe Vengeful in one sentence.

2 Marcella bored me to tears. Not literal tears, but reading her POVs was horrible stressful. After I read this novel, I never wanted to hear another mention of high heels or fingernails ever again. The repetition of high heels and fingernails in Marcella's chapters was EXTREME. It was awful.

3 Marcella's sex scene mentions with her husband was so cringe. I can't even describe how bad it was. You really got to read it for yourself.

4 Slut shaming from Marcella. Sigh.

5 It might not be obvious, but Marcella was a huge reason why I hated this book. Seriously, there was nothing interesting about her. She wasn't even a villain I could despise. She was annoying more than anything. Meanwhile, my hatred for Eli is OBVIOUS in my posts about this series. You can't even love to hate Marcella. She wasn't a good villain at all. Just a waste of a character.

6 Hallelujah. It's sweet how I have so many more reasons why I despise this novel. I HATED VICTOR IN THIS BOOK. Victor was likable in the first book, but he was so sociopathic that even that was hard to do. Still, the dude was practically a hero. In the first book, that is. In VENGEFUL, he starts murdering innocent EOs. Just like Eli. He became too dark. Slipped too much into black morality. I couldn't root for him anymore. Without a doubt, this is the main reason why I hated this novel. The biggest reason. Everyone becomes pure villains in this. And if they're not a pure villain, then they helped the pure villains(Mitch and Sydney helping Victor, like some minions or something)

7 Before I forget, I need to say that June's fondness of Sydney was random and creepy in a child predator type of way. If June was a man, imagine how creepy this would be. The woman even meets Sydney at a park, for God's sake. We don't know a damn thing about June's past. And we can't care about her motivations because of that. We don't even know her motivations. June was even more of a waste of a character than Marcella. Schwab really should have given her more depth and history. Because I really couldn't care about June. She was a total waste. There's such thing as too much mystery.

8 Eli Ever. I genuinely wish Eli did a face heel turn in this book. You know, become good. Go from "evil" to "good". Because Eli was genuinely my last hope. I couldn't care about Victor anymore. Or Sydney. Or Mitch. Didn't even like June or Marcella in any way. Didn't find them interesting. Eli Ever becoming a character to root for would have been great. But no, Eli is still evil Eli from the first book. And yet, I really loved his POVs. You know you effed up when I actually WANT to hear from Eli Ever. For comparison, I hated him so much in the first book. In this one, it was easier to root for him. Now that he wasn't killing innocent people. I still hated him, but hated him less. If he became a good guy, regretted his past murder of the innocent EOs, and fought against all the villains (villains like Victor) MAYBE I would have given this book three stars. Maybe.

9 I couldn't care about anyone in this book, simply put. That made for boring reading.

10 I genuinely forgot there was one character I did care about. Dom. Dominick freaking Rusher. The ex-soldier from book one who can stop time and teleport this way. Dude was golden. And Victor being mean to him and calling him a fool after Dom SAVED his life was just terrible. And out of character. Victor is prone to being stoic and aloof, but he wouldn't straight up insult someone like that. See? Even that shows how much of a villain he became. Victor in this book and Victor from book one might as well be two different characters. They didn't even feel like the same guy. Plus, Victor can suddenly control people's bodies via their nerves? Seriously? Cringe. Just cringe. Cringe and a stupid power upgrade.

11 BTW June randomly bumping into Victor at the strip club was an awful meeting. Seemed so cliché and convenient.

12 I hated Vengeful. Absolutely despised it. I still do. I highly recommend not reading it. There are no characters to root for. No "good" aligned characters to care about. No "villains" to love to hate. And everyone else in-between aren't interesting at all. Things in this book was so contrived and convenient for the sake of plot. And that's not to mention there are loads of cringe and out of character moments.

When I was watching What Happened to Monday? for the first time, I though the grandpa was going to be evil. He did turn out to be a good dude, though.

I rate the movie 5 out of 5 stars.

Before I watched any videos or seen pictures of the film The Master, by Paul Thomas Anderson, I read the Wikipedia plot of the movie.

I imagined Dodd as a bald Middle Eastern guy with a beard.
