As i step outside, i walk. I keep looking at the ground because i am afraid i will notice people staring at me. I keep walking and i get hypnotised by the bricks on the sidewalk. Too much noise enters my ears. Children screaming, cars passing by, dogs barking and people talking. I can't concentrate at counting the steps i take. I feel empty. I decide to put on my music. For a while i forget how lonely i am. But even though my music calms me down, i feel like the bricks are screaming at me. At least there is something that requires my attention. I continue my walk, moving on the rythm of my music. I don't know where i'm going, and i don't care. As i walk i meet up with the end of the road i was following. I see grass. I decided to stop walking and i look up. I see a landscape. A beautiful green field filled with flowers and trees. I see a squirrel trying to reach a nut and i smiled. I put off my music and all i hear is birds, and the wind pushing waves into the small lake on my right. I don't feel judged by anyone because i'm alone. I walked towards the lake and sat down. I stare at my reflection in the water and i realise there is nothing about me to be insecure about. I feel so good out here. I'm alone. But i'm not.
