Before you judge starfleet for continueing to use holodecks even though they keep, like, malfunctioning and trying to kill people, think for one second what you would do if you had a holodeck? That could make??? Anything??? Tell any story you wanted in 3D with all 5 senses? Any person? Any situation? Fuck you, it could try to kill me like 10+ times and I'd still be like "maybe we can fix this."

It would have been a pretty late dinner for kids.  It its first run, Trek started 8:30pm, so the fight scene would have been at almost 9:30pm.

As hilarious as Jim’s hate for Tribbles always is, I can’t help but do the ‘but angst’ bit which makes me wonder if part of the reason he dislikes them so much is because he hears “rapidly reproducing” and “eats everything” and automatically panics at the thought of how quickly a single Tribble could destroy a planets food supply.

“tribbles” and “angst” are two words I never imaged could belong in the same context, and yet... here we are, and I’m SCREAMING.
