Garrett proceeded his day as normally as he could, meanwhile his mind was going a hundred miles a hour. He was familiar with Hawthorne Tower and all the rumors; it was up to him to find a way to prove them to be true. Or, well, at least thatâs the pressure he put on himself. This task wasnât like any of the others, he needed to uncover the truth. As he was fixing the elevator in the hallway, he began to ponder of ways he could try to sneak into the office of Hawthorne himself. If there was anywhere he would hide something it would be there, right? The voice of someone behind him made him come back to reality. He turned around and gave a confused look. âSorry, did you say something? I was kinda distracted.âÂ
Lola had to work hard these trying, tragic days to make herself feel better or- imagine- have fun. Now, it wasnât her usual speed but even she was partial to a hunky handyman hard at work. Of course she thought she was being very subtle with her snooping but there was only so long she and her clippity heels could go unnoticed. When he turned, she jumped a little, feeling momentarily embarrassed before pulling on her loveliest, most innocent smile. Bat bat of the eyelashes and all.  âUm, no? Wait, yes! Yes... I was just, um, wondering how it was going? How you were doing with all the fix-y stuff,â she said, sneaking another totally subtle look at him, âWe all know how important the elevator is, you?âÂ

Performing was much more work than one would think. Never mind the singing â there was the act that went along with it; the level of charisma and energy one had to exude for more than just a few hours at a time in order to truly do a good job. More often than not, Nina found herself feeling drained, able to find comfort in one thing only.Â
Exhausted after having completed a set, Nina had slumped herself down by the bar, flagging down the bartender before she even had the chance to get comfortable in her seat. âA Manhattan, please,â She requested, âAndâŚâ Eyes flickered over to the only other person at the bar, looking just as downtrodden as she was. âWhatever theyâre having.âÂ
Lola was pouting at the bar, there was truly no denying it but didnât she deserve to? While she may still have looked her usual fabulous self, she didnât feel it and there was nothing she could do about it. How tragic was that? Lola Mercado on the outside but she-didnât-even-know on the inside. Thatâs when she heard her. Thatâs when she finally looked up and actually smiled. Not only was a pretty girl offering to buy her a drink but she was a singer. Swoon.Â
âFrench Martini, please,â she said to the bartender before turning her attention to- oh what had they said before the show? Nina?- Nina. âThat was very kind of you, thank you. Can I just say that your set tonight was gorgeous. Honestly, my heart. You are very talented.âÂ
letting the warm miami air wrap around her, emilia stood outside the staff entrance to the hawthorne hotel as she lit up a cigarette. it was her tradition now; everyday before her shift she found herself arriving early so she could have a cigarette and cup of coffee in peace before she had to smile at hotel guests and play nice. as she inhaled the nicotine, something caught her eye - or more likely, someone. the sun around them had set, making it harder for her to make out exactly who was there. she took another drag from the cigarette before deciding to err on the side of caution. âhey there, are you okay?â she asked the figure, not sure if it was a guest who had found themselves down here or another employee.Â
âoh my god, hi! hello, do you work here? i am so lost right now, i canât even... itâs like ever since i was basically banished to the fifth floor, my navigation system is broken. this is why the penthouse is always the go-to because you can just press the very top button and, well, anyway. here i am and here you are. ps. i am loving your hair,â she added, very importantly, before remembering what her point was. she was definitely in the hawthorne area, obviously but how she was supposed to get back to where her sad room and the not-so-sad bar was, she didnât know. âis there, like, a door back in or something?âÂ
kitâs laying on the lounge chair by the pool, heâs wearing an exceptionally ugly hawaiian shirt and a pair of tiny yellow swim shorts. he pushes his sunglasses up off his nose, and past his forehead, to get the hair out of his face. heâs got his notebook on his lap, but heâs not really focused on it. heâs somewhere between deciding if he wants to take a nap or if he wants to go into the pool. âhow is the water??â he asks, leaning up just slightly to make eye contact with the other.Â
âoh my god, i am loving this look for you. it reminds me of the summer i spent three weeks on this yacht near saint-tropez. my french was very so-so at the time, me and the owner had a lot of miscommunications but she was super fun,â lola breathed, feeling a pang of sorriness for herself before spiritually shaking it off. anyway, back to his question-Â âi donât know though, this bathing suit is more for laying beside than the pool than actually going in so. no oneâs, like, drowning though so it seems good.â
đđđ đđđđđđ upon seeing a familiar face, one that he adored. He swore that Lola and himself were friend soulmates with how similar they were. âLola!â they replied, sitting up with a big smile on their face. âIt has been too long! How are you mon amour?â They excitedly gave Lolaâs hand a squeeze. âThe line is good! Iâm working on another right now, which is why Iâm here. Creative retreat or whatever. How are you!?â Gesturing to the otherâs outfit, Leo gushed. âThank you! Your dress is lovely. No surprise!â
Lola squeezed their hand right back, holding back on answering the question and instead letting them talk. Sheâd much rather hear of the fabulous fashion line and all their success then dwell on her awful situation. Which was a secret. Right. She had to pull it together. Of course, Leoâs compliments helped and she was beaming soon enough. âOh, thank you! I didnât know it was too drab for the lounge but if youâre giving the stamp of approval, I can finally relax.â There, that wasnât so bad. She was being her usual self. âBut oh my god, a new line, Iâm squealing! Your mind is literally so incredible, I wonder all the time whoâll play you in the movie. Iâve been good though. Fab! Just the usual, well, same old. Which is why Iâm here actually. Sort of like a creative retreat but just more retreat.â

âGod, who writes this?âScarlett asked, a snicker escaping her. âI havenât watched a single episode of, well, whatever you just described; itâs got to be the commercial, for sure. Did they force you to eat the candy? Thatâd be torture. Everybody knows Tootsie Rolls are the worst candy.â
âRight? I mean thatâs nothing, really. My father has been on the show for sixteen seasons and counting. It would floor you to hear the scandals his character has been through. And how many times he played his own evil twin... Anyway,â she waved a dismissive hand to the plots of days gone by before laughing. âOh, never! I had a stunt double for the actual chewing. Very âchild divaâ of me, apparently but I think it was a necessary evil. Obvi you are very smart to know that already re: Toostie Rolls.â Then she held out her hand, âLola.â

23:15  â  outside the lounge.Â
(  open to all !  )
it was a rare occasion to spy camille anywhere other than front and centre stage of the lounge. if one were attempting to seek out the brunette, they would be sure to find her crooning soft and sultry notes into a microphone ; effortlessly capturing the attention of an audience with her performance. well, on most nights, that was the case. right now, however, the svelte female was stood outside ; seeking a tranquil atmosphere and solace in a dark corner. as a figure emerged from the shadows, camille resisted the urge to roll her eyes. plucking the cigarette from her lips, delicate fingertips keeping hold of it, she cast a fleeting glance toward the other. â forgive me if iâm not in the most sociable of moods. i wasnât expecting company. â finally her curious gaze moved to fall upon their face, a defined eyebrow arching. â here to blow off some steam? or to find a shoulder to cry on about your problems? if itâs the latter, iâm most definitely not your girl. â
lola had tried to call her mom at least four times now which was basically a billion but anyway. blocking her on social media was one thing (one horrific thing) but to not even pick up the phone? what if it was an emergency! which it was. sheâd been living at this hotel on the fourth floor for a month now and she was at her wits end. why did she have to be so stubborn? obviously lola was fine, even if she may have felt a dangerous wobble in her bottom lip when her call went to her momâs voicemail again. great. she let out a long suffering sigh, hanging up her phone and walking around from the little corner sheâd tucked herself into outside. at her voice, lola looked back up, feeling weirdly exposed before she managed to compose herself. âoh, i totally get that. i actually thought i was- i mean, nevermind. my mascara has always been way too expensive for me to waste it on tears so donât worry, youâre safe.â lola suddenly smiled then, her mouth falling into an âoâ shape. âoh my god, you sing here, right? iâve basically been in my room this whole time but i caught a glimpse of you on stage. magnifique. you are definitely a star.â
âThen it turned out that who we thought was my presumed dead brother, suspiciously returned from the worldâs most elaborate sky-diving accident, wasnât. And he was- do you know? Did you see it? Okay, spoiler- the one who pushed my presumed dead brother out the plane sans parachute. Yeah, I know. Heâd had plastic surgery to look like him, obvi and was like, basically obsessed with my character. It was a whole thing,â Lola explained, tapping away at her phone (way too distressed to check any of her social media right now though). âOr you might be recognizing me from this one Tootsie Roll commercial I did as a tween.â

22:05Â Â â Â the balcony.
( Â open to all ! Â )
three and a half vodka martiniâs later and still saphira had yet to feel the effects that she desired. the lounge was over-populated and the older man perched next to her that had insisted on supplying her with drinks for the rest of the night was beginning to rile her. thus, plastering an overly exaggerated polite smile onto her lips, she excused herself from his company ; self-assured footsteps led the female toward the exit leading to the balcony. stepping outside, the brunette shut the door after her ; an audible click easily discernible in the rather tranquil atmosphere. exhaling a sigh of relief, red-bottomed stilettos carried saphira forward until she reached a halt, drawing in a breath of fresh night air into her lungs. then, the sudden sound of a figure approaching from behind disturbed her train of thought, a huff of irritation escaping her nose. â i think youâll find this space is occupied, â she stated, not even bothering to face the stranger as she addressed them ; the cool breeze blowing loose chestnut tendrils across her face. â close the door on your way out. â
if lola were here out of choice, if her parents werenât the most dramatic and unreasonable people of all time, sheâd be having way more fun. maybe sheâd be in the red valentino with the sapphire earrings, surrounded by at least ten of her closest girlfriends and sheâd open a tab that would make even the strongest of stomachs queasy. or whatever. that wasnât happening though. instead she had been left to the vultures, nursing one drink because she certainly couldnât afford to open up a tab. damn it. she made a face as some guy took the seat beside her and opened his mouth to talk. she dismissed him with a swift âewâ before scooping up her glass and making a much too hasty exit, pushing opening the first door that would give. now she was in the outfit and the shoes of lolaâs dreams. obvi she wasnât using the friendliest of tones and she had the whole head bitch in charge thing down but... âokay and i so respect that for you but you did not see how gross this guy was who sat beside me. iâm basically on the run here so. can i please, pretty please, just hide out here a teeny second or so? i swear on your to-die-for stilettos, thatâs all.âÂ
đđđ đđđđđđđđđ đđđđđ tiny frame out on one of the couches in the lounge, getting comfortable. They didnât occupy much of the large couch so Leo wasnât surprised when someone sat down beside them, especially considering how quickly the room was filling up as lunchtime was approaching. Turning to face the other with a playful gleam in their eye, Leo grinned. âBienvenue! Are you here to people watch with me too?âÂ
Lola literally could not believe what her life had come to. She was wearing only her third favourite dress, sipping on the worldâs driest martini and trying to keep it together. When she dropped onto the couch in the lounge, she was so occupied with her own drama and misfortunes that she didnât recognize who she was sitting beside at first (which was a crime in itself!). âOhmygod, Leo!? Mon chĂŠri!â her hands flailed, feeling so genuinely happy to see someone from her real life she could have squealed. âI am so happy to see you, you have no idea, I--- I mean, itâs been forever. How are you? Howâs the line? Tell me everything. PS. I am loving this outfit on you.â

She is a (SCORPIO),  so they can be (AMBITIOUS) & (BOLD), but also (MANIPULATIVE) &  (SELF-ABSORBED). Rumor has it, she (WAS RECENTLY CUT OFF FROM HER TRUST FUND).
hi everyone!! iâm paige (she/her, 24, gmt) and iâm super excited to rp with yâall <3 did my aquarius nature make 2/3 of my bisasters aquarius also? perhaps. anyways you can find some info on lovelyish lola under the cut along with some wanted connections etc. feel free to message me if you wanna plot ân chat xo
lolaâs tldr; bratty socialite is cut off from trust fund and is still screaming! usually very fun but like, not dependable. will accidentally insult your outfit oops. isnât a bad person, probably??? but isnât very good at being good either sigh. self destructive but cute. really worried about what sheâs gonna do when her clothes run out and need, like, laundered??? will she have to do this herself or???
Lola Mercado / 33 / Former Heiress, Socialite, All Around Rich Bish / Room 401
Lola is a trust fund baby who probably still eats her yogurt with the same diamond encrusted spoon she was born with. Her parents are a CEO of a company that made the family filthy rich (mom) and a soap superstar (dad) on still-running series (letâs call it...âNow and Foreverâ). Basically, Lola never had to learn how to do anything for herself. She doesnât know the street value of a banana.
Born and raised in New York, she was a very busy child and then teen enrolled in every extra-curricular you can think of. She modeled, she did commercials, rode horses, learned how to drive a speedboat (crashed a speedboat), almost released a single but it didnât work out (for the best #rip). She tried everything because she could, got bored and then dropped it. Such was life.
Has very fickle friends but then again, so is she so... She loved to be surrounded by people though, whether they really liked her or not. She hates the quiet, hates to be alone and has filled her days with impromptu trips and outlandish spending. Only people who donât have money say it canât buy happiness- duh!
Now, she may have gone to college (business communications and fashion) but she didnât really do anything with that. Spring break was a lot of fun and sheâll probably never forget those college flings but whatever. Her mom has always lowkey been bugging her to âdo somethingâ but honestly, why? Life is for living and thereâs no way Lola is going to be in some gross, 9-5, job just to stop the texts from her mom.
Okay so you get her vibe? Very shallow, super fun, no cares in the absolute world and loves her stuff. Now, she might have had a little too much fun. The partying, the paparazzi, the string of famous and semi-famous messy lovers, the shame she brought to the family, the drunken rants, that one time she crashed her Mercedes into a store window (it was closed and looked like the entrance to the parking garage okay!) and all the times her parents had to bail her out piled up.
This behaviour may have got her more followers on Instagram and made for some wild stories to tell over cocktails but it was the last straw for her parents. They went on about âlast chancesâ and blah blah blah. Then Lola might have made a tiny scene at one of her momâs big business schmooze fests and uh, well, apparently that whole âlast chanceâ thing wasnât fake. They cut her off. Cue the screaming!
She begged, she pleaded but she was thrown out with barely enough suitcases while card after card was declined. Total nightmare. Her fickle friends did not call and none of her shitty exes cared enough either. She wasnât totally broke (on the way though, yikes) but obviously in her eyes her life was O-V-E-R. With her wounded pride, she managed to call in enough favours to make it to Miami and the hotel. Sheâs mortified to be on the fourth floor (sheâs penthouse or death, usually) but câest la vie. Basically in hiding and trying to recover from the drama. Can barely make toast help her.
Extras ;
A Flirty Bi-Con & a Scorpio !
Has been in the tabloids for being messy & looking fabulous.
Closest thing she had to a job was when she got to play a character on her dadâs soap for a wild story arc - she will bring this up.
Tells the wildest stories, who honestly knows if theyâre 100% true or not.
Her mom blocked her on social media #rip
Kindred spirits include Alexis Rose & Cher Horowitz (with a splash of accidental mean & family drama)
Wanted Connections ;
New hotel connections? Sheâs only been her a minute but maybe she made a terrible first impression on your character? She might have mistaken them for a bellhop or something and was like hereâs idk $20 please deal with my bags. Or she could have bumped into them and spilled coffee on them (probably didnât apologise). Insulted their outfit cause she was in a grouchy mood.
She knocked the wing mirror off your car and left a note saying âoospieâ.
Follow her on instagram / mutual followers.
Anyone on her floor? Maybe she invited them in for drinks or they heard her having a lowkey tantrum over her new tragic situation (she would have lied about what was wrong of course, no one can know sheâs.........cut off).
Old friends : so Lola has traveled all over so they could have met anywhere! They could have partied together, were roomies for a while, flew off together on wild adventures. Maybe they had a friendship break up because Lola is a FOOL and despite missing them so so so much she just never got back in touch?
