These are screenshots of different websites advertising artists and their latest songs. PURPOSE OF MUSIC WEBSITES : Some websites are centred towards selling products and other websites are centred towards providing information, while others are only for entertainment. Music websites are centred towards promoting the artist and sellling their new songs. Websites are set up to convey information to a target audience so that they want to buy the product, in terms of music websites, so that they want to buy the artist's new music. CONTENT MUSIC WEBSITES CONTAIN : The majority of music websites contain their latest music videos or other videos of the artist. They also contain mutiple photos of the artist, subscription information, links to their other socal networking sites, links to other sections of the website, tour dates listed and a comments section at the bottom. HOW THEY ARE USUALLY LAID OUT : They usually have a big healine of the artist's name and the name of their latest single above one or multiple pictures of the artist. The websites usually are scroll down and have multiple links to other pages on the website (e.g. tour information). They usually have a section for their latest music info, a section for their merch and a section for their fan comments. It's also laid out one below another.

Intertextuality is the relationship between two media texts, especially when one media text influences or reflects another: These references could be hidden meanings or links to other pieces of work, but they are made to add depth to a text, based on the viewers knowledge and understanding of the text that is being referenced. It can also be used to see how other works have influenced the author/director and how it conveys certain meanings. An example of intertextuality being used in a music video is in Taylor Swift’s ‘’bad blood’’. The fight scene at the start of the music video is a reference to Mission Impossible, the training room is a reference to Hunger Games and the scene where they walk away from the fire is a reference to Charlie’s Angels. Some other examples of when intertextuality has been used in music videos are: Iggy Azalea’s recreation of the film ‘Clueless’ in the music video ‘’Fancy’’, My Chemical Romance references to the film ‘Saving Private Ryan’ in the music video ‘’The ghost of you’’ and Robbie Williams references ‘Alice in wonderland’ in ‘’You Know Me’’. I am not planning on using intertextual references to other media texts in my music video, although I am planning to reference YouTube to bring a more modern approach to the video.

These are the results from my questionnaire: As the most popular location to set my music video in was a park, I will use this as my main location in the video. 73% said I should include a narative in the video, so alognside the singing, I will include a story that conveys a message that links to the lyrics. From the comments I recieved, I will be including; lots of background and costume changes, lots of dancing and I will focus the message of the video on acceptance.
