Recent conflicts in the Middle East were caused by religion. Specifically, caused by religion in the government and laws. Does that look like an ideal scenario to you?

An inclusive parliament requires the capability to base decisions off of 'the good for everyone', not personal and religious opinions.

In 2005 the Parliamentary Prayer Network in Australia hosted a two day conference in Parliament house's great hall. The guest speaker at the conference was a Texan prophet named Cindy Jacobs, who believes Christians must take over the world through it's governments. A few years earlier, supporters of the greater freedom of Tibet were refused permission to have the Dalai Lama speak in the same space. Does this seem like a logical view, or religious zealotry to you?

Republican Representative, Michele Bachman, called Obama's decision to help a sect of Syrian Rebels a sign of the four horsemen of the apocalypse soon to be appearing. She said to a Christian radio station soon after, "Rather than seeing this as a negative, we need to rejoice, Marantha, come Lord Jesus, His day is at hand". Do you want someone who believed helping people rebelling against terrorists was a sign of the apocalypse being soon to occur?

91.8% of the 114th U.S. Congress are Christians. This is not a fair representation of the religions in America, and also I will note that a number of congressmen/women have had some form of religious job, including at least 7 ordained ministers.

The incapability to not realise that people do not all adhere to your religion and way of belief is a very frightening thing.

The church and the state should always remain seperate. The forefathers of America believed so, and most should.

49% of people in America believe that churches should speak out about political matters. A friendly reminder that people do not all follow your religion and religious codes, and as such hold their own views. Conservatives focus on making the rich happy. They think less of the country in general and more of just the rich. They are now the majority in England, with a vote share of 36.9% and the number of seats taken being 331 of 650. Considering that the parties in England focus less on logical and critical arguments, and more on whether you're rich, poor or an immigrant, this is not how it should be. Parties should be ran via a group of people with generally the same ideas of how a country should be run, and are capable of making logical decisions off of that and make those decisions off of whether it would make more or less people happy, and the benefits and consequences. Parties like the Conservatives, and UKIP, however, don't act like that. They focus on, for Conservatives, making the rich happy, or, for UKIP, trying to deal with the immigrant issue. Al Gore focused on how to fix global warming, George Bush focused on Chrisianity, who won? George Bush. This is not right. The voters voted for that whom subscribed to their beliefs, not to the most logistic.

Those that hold logic high, are the ones that benefit from logic the most.

If you’re incapable of leaving behind your religious doctrines, and require yourself to put it onto other's rights, you should probably calm down and realise that is, in of itself, a form of repression against their beliefs.

Leave the critical thinking to the critical thinkers. A government shouldn’t be run by a religion.
