As the narrative unfolds, she becomes romantically involved with one of the outlaws, ultimately leading to a violent and tragic conclusion. Kacey Musgraves has revealed plans to release her sixth studio album, Middle of Nowhere, on May 1st. Along with the announcement, the Grammy-winning artist introduced the project’s lead single, “Dry Spell,” accompanied by a music video which she co-directed with Hannah Lux Davis. Middle of Nowhere was produced with longtime collaborators Daniel Tashian and Ian Fitchuk and features guest appearances from Willie Nelson, Miranda Lambert, Billy Strings and Gregory Alan Isakov. The album’s title was inspired by a roadside sign in Musgraves’ tiny hometown of Golden, Texas, which reads “Golden, TX: Somewhere in the Middle of Nowhere.” The phrase became the thematic foundation for the project, reflecting both a literal location and a broader emotional state. Written during a time of personal reflection following a breakup, the record finds Musgraves leaning into classic Western and country influences. Musgraves shared: “The bulk of this record was made during the longest single period of my life, and I found that for the first time, it actually felt incredible being alone and existing in a space not defined by anyone else. I became fascinated with the concept of liminal space, both geographical and emotional. We don’t linger in these transitional, empty spaces long enough and rush to define where or whatever is next. As he nears his 93rd birthday, Willie Nelson shows no intention of slowing down. The country icon has announced Dream Chaser, his 79th solo studio album—and an astonishing 156th overall—set for release on May 29th. Dream Chaser follows a strong year for Nelson, who recently earned Grammy nominations for Last Leaf On The Tree and Oh What A Beautiful World, further cementing his enduring impact on country music. The album continues Nelson’s prolific creative run with longtime collaborator Buddy Cannon, a partnership that has produced nearly 20 records over the past decade-plus. Together, they co-wrote several tracks, some alongside Nashville songwriter Bobby Tomberlin. One notable song, “I Can’t Read Your Mind,” originated as a collaboration with Bob Dylan before being completed by Cannon. Alongside the album news, Nelson has mapped out a short run of spring 2026 tour dates beginning April 22 in Birmingham, Alabama, with additional stops in Atlanta and several North Carolina cities. Country star Dierks Bentley has revealed plans for his upcoming Off the Map Tour, a limited summer run that will bring his live show to amphitheaters across the United States. The six-week trek follows Bentley’s spring stadium appearances with Luke Combs and will span 11 cities nationwide. The tour is scheduled to begin June 12 in Rogers, Arkansas, and conclude July 18 in St. Augustine, Florida. Bentley will be joined by an impressive lineup of guest performers throughout the run. Legendary bluegrass artist Ricky Skaggs and his band Kentucky Thunder will appear on the tour alongside Kaitlin Butts, while rising acts Cole Goodwin, Owen Riegling, and Mountain Grass Unit will perform on select dates. The 2026 edition of Bourbon & Beyond is shaping up to be its biggest yet, with more than 100 performers scheduled across five stages at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville from Sept. 24–27. Headlining the four-day celebration of music, bourbon, and food are Foo Fighters, Mumford & Sons, Chris Stapleton, and Dave Matthews Band. Music icons Wynonna Judd and Melissa Etheridge are joining forces for a nationwide co-headlining concert run this summer. The Grammy-winning artists revealed that they will hit the road together for the “Raised On Radio Tour,” a 27-date U.S. trek inspired by the songs that shaped their early love of music. The tour will visit cities across the country, including San Diego, Reno, Atlanta and Seattle, and will also feature a special symphony performance at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Country music has always been regarded as an American sound bred in the southern regions, but if fans have learned anything from the likes of keith urban, country music can come up from anywhere in the world. This leads us to the German cowboy himself, Rob Georg. Very few would imagine a cowboy from Germany, but Rob Georg just does not wear the label, he lives the lifestyle. He spent the first chapter of his life as a professional equestrian athlete in the discipline of cutting. Here cowboys work cattle from horseback, all in true country fashion. He has won various championship titles that have led him to participate in the highly endowed tournament, the world series. For an entire decade Georg was traveling across American cutting arenas with his trainer dean terry. With the many miles spent together on the highways, the two soon connected with a deep friendship. When terry passed away in January 2018 and Georg's beloved soul horse "primetime shorty" also crossed the rainbow bridge just one month later, a world broke down for the cowboy. To clear his head, he decided to take a break from ranch life. And so, the passionate amateur singer flew to Nashville "music city U.S.A." Tennessee to work on his singing skills with professional vocal coach Kristin K. Smith (customers: Katie Mac, Jilian Steele, Casey Derhak, Smithfield, and Josh Dorr to name just a few). Encouraged by her words, Georg began recording his music and never looked back.

As a studied musician, vocalist, songwriter, arranger, producer and recording engineer Lawrence Cameron McGhee has loved and played music all his life. He fell in love with the sound of the guitar as a young boy learning to play by ear he was intrigued by its influence in music in particular R&B. His resume includes forming his own lucrative seven-piece group, session work, producing new artists and recorded artist. He honed his song writing by studying with Arthur Hamilton ("Cry Me a River") and Annette Tucker. His focus as a music professional has been to constantly improve his craft. Being a native of Los Angeles he always enjoyed the music diversity that he experienced there. Lawrence believes that a song is a synergistic marriage of lyrics and music. While he concurs that the bass may be considered the heart of R&B, he recognizes the guitar as its je ne sais quoi (that intangible something). Lawrence's love for the guitar is evident in his song "It's Just Love". As guitar is very relevant to traditional R&B he created that same feel in this production. His crafted original songs include some funk, sophisticated blues and sweet ballads with thoughtful and clever lyrics that create ambiance and will make the listener smile.
