Our favorite new singer/songwriter/producer is Albany based Vaalorra. She’s been making dreamy r&b set against super cozy lo-fi r&b tracks.  Her voice is sweet and emotive.  Her beats are hazy and imaginative, perfect for an instropective day at the park. Her soundcloud discography spans a few more genres including ambient and pop and some chill instrumentals.  

We first spotted her on IG where she’s been posting new music and colorful selfies.

I’m so late.  But I just found out one of my favorite YouTubers of all time has created what is now one of my favorite house tracks of all time.

Please check out “Bloodied and a Mess” by Qaadir Howard released in September of 2018 on the Swedish independent dance label, Studio Barnhus and can be found on their compilation, Studio Barnhus - Volym 1.

This incredible track is an apparent remix and master of a song Qaadir self-released  in 2012.  This upgraded version showcases Howard’s charismatic personality and sophisticated songwriting against a deeply iconic early 90s house throwback production style featuring dreamy nostalgic chords and masterfully positioned reverb.
