I would have given my life for "une biere"

There was not a breeze, no fresh air

My tongue was hanging out, it wasn't fair

When we got the desert despair 

we sang the song of the Legionnaires:

One day I broke down in a mountain pass

My camel had run right out of gas

Had every goddamn thing except for one!:

It was no fun marching for months

With a parched throat, I'd had enough

He let me get on board with all my stuff

Driving home we stopped and stopped again
