I'm so happy to see this event happening again this year, and I'm also very excited for another chance to do a rare character fic drop ^^ She even earned herself a little photomanip which brought me my own round of 90's nostalgia!

SONG OF THE WEEK “Letting Go” https://johnnyjblairsingeratlarge.bandcamp.com/track/letting-go Ultimately, the lyrics in this song are about letting go of the dramas and traumas that shape beliefs, emotions, and ideas that no longer serve anyone. It’s also about forgiveness of one another and one’s self. Once we let go, God fills the gap. The song is narrative for my space traveler character in my latest album, WE’RE GETTING CLOSER TO THE SUN.  The spaceship cruise described in the lyrics point to exploring outer space while healing inner space. Musically I was inspired by Electric Light Orchestra, glam rock (Bowie, T. Rex), and Nilsson’s cover of “Without You.” That’s Mick Berry on drums and my wife Robin Mackey on harmony vocals. https://johnnyjblairsingeratlarge.bandcamp.com/track/letting-go
