Insanely gullible. You say gullible is written on the ceiling he'll look without hesitation. Though this is only for people he trusts (like his father, Erendor kys)
Speaking of which, though he denies, has a horrible family life. Starting from his birth, he was shaped into this idea of a perfect prince. He was propagated into liking or hating certain things, and he genuinely still believed all of these things up until season 6. Never questioned his parents, never judged anything. Did whatever they told him to do. This caused him to form certain beliefs until the people around him pushed him to question and deny these things.
Anxiety final boss. Being a prince of Eraklyon, he realizes that everyone is out to get him. This causes paranoia and a distrust in people. Acts nice to everyone but he's cautious of them til he gets to know them better.
Holds extreme grudges. Against everyone who has done him dirty. Everyone. One mistake and he never approaches them again. He does start forgiving after he starts to hang out with the Winx and their sunshine and rainbows personalities so it's okay.
Touch starved as FUCK. Being neglected as a kid, he constantly needs physical reassurance. But he's too scared to tell anyone so no one really helps him with it. Unless they notice... (Hmmm what am I foreshadowing)
Like I mentioned, he has extreme anxiety. This seeps into his dreams, unfortunately. He has nightmares every night. Multiple. Barely sleeps. Sleeps better when someone's holding him, a habit from childhood, but that's pretty rare. Bloom's there when she is around.
Has always wished there was someone that could guide him and not control him. He grew up wanting someone to tell him what to do that wasn't about unnecessary bullshit. Making all the important decisions by himself, that's how he got his leadership skills. Brandon had noticed this and tried to mimic anyone that could be an idol or a guide to Sky, despite being younger than him.
Despite not seeming like it, Sky is scared of losing people by not being able to save them (or choosing not to save them, only to regret it anyway). He will argue, but immediately drop everything and apologize if the relationship seems like it's coming to an end. Some people appreciate this, some people are aware of what he's doing. (Main examples from my writings)
He's pessimistic as fuckkkk. Only sees the worst case scenarios. No matter what happens, it always seems to be the worst around him. This might just be considered realistic for him, to be fair. (Another example sorry)
The first important decision he made in his life was to become a fighter instead of a ruler. This is technically canon since he talks about how the battlefield is where he needs to be in s1 or 2 I think...
Bloom was the first girl he loved, that's how he figured what love feels like actually. Sky and Diaspro have always thought of each other as siblings (before Diaspro actually developed feelings (or did she...) for him)
Was taught that any alcohol besides wine and champagne was too "lower class" so he never really drank liquor in his life before his friends convinced him to try.
Speaking of which, he has no music knowledge. Hadn't listened to anything other than classical up until red fountain. Riven technically introduced him to music by listening to nu metal really loudly.
Again, despite not seeming like it, needs reassurance. He always feels like he's doing something wrong, and he needs someone he looks up to to reassure him. Not in a narcissistic way exactly, but he needs validation to feel like he should exist. I don't know which disorder I should give him but I really should.
Since he grew up extremely sheltered, he doesn't know social cues!!!!!!!!! This might also be because of autism tho.
Clings onto whoever he thinks loves him most in that time. It changes every once in a while. Maybe I should give him BPD idk imagine how funny it would be that both cousins have both BPD and autism. Literally brothers of all time

How do you write Daphne and Thoren's flaws? And what are they? I've seen your fics and it's very clear that they both have flaws they're trying to overcome and it's really interesting

But still let me answer your questions ily (how did I get into your mind I have NO idea you like my characters?? text me if you’re that freshman that I yapped to)
Summary: Daphne is Gregory House. Thoren is the peak of quiet bpd. They’re the happiest couple ever, maybe after Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift. Idk.
Daphne was actually kinda written to give the idea of being flawless, this idea immediately dying out after she comes back to life. Her main issue is that she doesn't have a strong grasp of social cues or the concept of respect. Sure she'll know how to act in situations she's been in, but overall she says whatever comes to mind. Most of them being mean as fuck. With almost no grasp of when to stop comes being harsh with words and actions, which hurts people when she has no intention to. Another problem she has is she would rather straight up sacrifice herself even though there's another choice. She doesn't always take the easy road, but if the easy road is just "give your life to do this" she'll have no problem doing it.
A big issue that surfaced after her coming back to life was mainly suicidal intentions. Daphne had become so used to being dead or hurt or physically tortured (thanks s5) that she just couldn't get used to a life where she wasn't getting hurt every now and then. Though the actions usually being seen in Thoren (getting used to his "training" and suicide attempts), Daphne had the intentions of always getting in situations that required harming herself. This was usually stopped by others. @shadownymphette explained it beautifully in my opinion.
Thoren's main flaw is his absolute fear of messing things up. If you ever saw Thoren anywhere, you'd already see that man isn't even afraid of god, which is dangerous. Now, this comes from his traumas, obviously. The first time he ever ran away from something, someone he cared about got hurt, and this affected him so badly in a way that he would rather die if it meant someone else wouldn't get hurt. It's a "if I don't immediately sacrifice myself/act as a human shield, this person might get hurt" thing. This added with being suicidal, Thoren has an active risk of death. Very active. As someone with borderline personality disorder, Thoren will go beyond the line he refuses to draw to protect the relationships he happens to have. See, if your fight or flight response doesn't work properly (in this case, the flight response), you're in danger. This function protects us from danger. If you can handle it, fight. If you can't handle it, run. With you not having a flight response, you can't avoid your problems. You go against people or things you can't handle. This is a huge toll on mental health. Thoren can never avoid problems. This guy went against Valtor alone (failed miserably) because HIS FUCKING FLIGHT RESPONSE IS NON EXISTENT. With not caring what's dangerous to him or not, he gets seriously hurt no matter where he is or what he does.
So what I mean is that Thoren wants to protect people, but he doesn't draw the line at where he stops so it becomes less of an "I want to do my best to protect whoever I can" and more of an "they don't allow antipsychotics in the army and it shows".
For relationships:
Daphne's friends (Thoren included) are used to her words and most of them are similar to her in that way. However, the Winx thinks that friends talk like they do to each other so they think that Daphne is just mean for no reason. They're partially right though, Daphne means most things she says to the Winx.
This behavior mostly affected Daphne and Bloom's relationship though. Bloom always had this idea of Daphne in her head; this ethereal, sweet, mature and understanding woman who was gonna help her every step of the way. Which, I mean the last part is kinda true. But the thing is, Daphne doesn't remember a single thing from when she was dead. At least at the start of season 6. She didn't even know Bloom came to Magix.
A little note here, Daphne is genuinely aware how her powers and her impact and her skills, she knows she will do something in a better way than most people she’s around. Does this make her a bit egoistical? Sure. She’s basically Gregory House but way more woke.
The thing with Daphne is that the value of a relationship depends on how much you've known someone according to her. That's why she has problems "loving" people that she hasn't known for at least 2 years. This kind of causes her to be way more harsher than she would be with the Winx, not out of pure hatred. Bloom doesn't realize this, and she keeps pushing this "oh we have to be together 24/7 since we're siblings!!!!". Bloom believes that her life is a fairytale, Daphne is aware that nothing ever has a happy ending. This difference in their beliefs and Bloom being optimistic while Daphne is a realistic person clashes, this causes communication problems.
If we look at Thoren, and his biggest problem (relationships. bpd rep frfr), he has a harder time with relationships. Thoren's need to protect absolutely everyone and his awareness of how it usually goes ("I can defend myself!!!"), with the fear of messing things up, just doesn't allow him to form relationships. “If I try to protect them it might damage our relationship but I also don’t want them getting hurt in any way dafuq??” This is basically it. It creates a paradox. If you can’t handle being protected or defend yourself Thoren’s gonna stay the fuck away from you.
His friends are in the “can defend themselves” category. They’ve sorta gotten used to calls asking if they’re okay or… calls about “your friend is in the hospital and he’s in a critical condition. again.”. And Daphne’s okay with being protected when everyone knows she has the capability to defend herself. The things you do for love… like watching your boyfriend get hit by an icicle because they jumped in front of you.
I can’t fucking write more things he literally has no relationships
Even canonically, he has always wanted to be support for the Winx. This is usually because he sees them as late teens, still, but then again his SIL is there and if he can’t be a human shield for her, Daphne will. He’s very aware of that by way. Sometimes he has to be reminded that the Winx can indeed defend themselves easily by Daphne.
Speaking of the Winx, Bloom finds him incredibly depressed. He IS depressed.
If we come to the big deal of the night:
No, Thoren and Sky don’t have that of a close relationship. And THIS IS ALL THOREN’S FAULT MY GOD
Thoren is still, always around during fights because he wants to physically protect Sky; but he’s so afraid of them being closer. What if he messes up again? What if he’s annoying? Thoren has never been the type of person to walk on eggshells when it came to his reputation, but if one relationship that messed him up so badly to the point of an alteration of the brain chemistry, you’re not gonna want it again. For a self destructive guy, Thoren doesn’t wanna get into something that could harm him?? Wow what the fuck okay. Sky, however, would want a closer relationship with Thoren if he got the chance. Mostly because he feels bad.

For Winx Club to become interesting again, Bloom needs to disappear for a while. The story and characters shouldn't revolve around her anymore. Bloom shouldn't appear.
I feel like it is not deepened enough and it deserves to be unique and more developed. It looks like everything revolves around Magix and that Earth is "a second label" of Magix. "Positive energy / negative energy" mehh... 😔💔
