Hi ! I would like to invite you into to the world seen through my eyes as a woman living with the challenges of having a seizure disorder. My name is Jewell Gibson and I was diagnosed in April 2008 with a Pseudo-seizure disorder. Since then I have been through a number of video EEG's, hospital stays and episodes that are now leading the doctors to believe that my seizures may be deeper in the brain and possibly epileptic, although my brain activity appears to be "normal". Unfortunately, this hasn't helped with receiving a proper diagnoses or the right combination of medication to keep the seizures stabilized. After 4 years of struggling to adapt to the changes my seizures brought upon my lifestyle & body. I decided that it was time to cope with the disorder, change my eating habits and most importantly "LIVE OUT LOUD" by bringing attention to the funding needed for research and promoting awareness in our communities. I am now the founder of Live Out Loud 4 Epilepsy, which seeks to help educate, embrace, empower & encourage those whose lives have been affected by Epilepsy and other Seizure Disorders. We hope to grow into an organization that helps fund research, advocate for awareness, give back to our communities and educate others through workshops, forums, and support groups. I have learned so much through the years traveled on this journey, so I am using this space to share my advocacy for awareness, motivational quotes, experiences, meal plans, food tips, stories and everyday life with you guys in hopes that you will be comforted in embracing your own journey. As I have grown to understand and embrace mine. Thanks for following xoxo ♡
