Once upon a time, there was a small being who walked amidst a vast desert where nothing could live. It wandered from one spot to another in search of a relief for its perpetual agony of inexistence. One god, forgotten by all, reached with their claws and plucked the little being out to offer it a deal: to be their champion in exchange of the very life it craved to have.
The being was given a vessel not of flesh, but of ivory bones. It was given a name. It was taught the ways of the world. It grew... And became Neophytos, the Unborn.
