"Not me, obviously. Oh yeah, it's my fault fer-" The ring slides out from under her boot, cutting off her muttering to herself. Her arm flings back with the rest of her in a slapstick manner to the floor. That ring hadn't moved a centimeter on her finger.
There's no getting out of this by normal means. He's right. This reaks of a magic sort. She sits herself back up on the palms of her hands and gives a prematurely defeated sigh through her nose.
"Just- Rachael is fine, cap." The dead of what else this pact could entail leaves a sour note in her mouth.
The Captain sighed, examining her once more, how dishevelled she looked having trying to remove the ring from her finger. Since his left hand was gone, it seemed the ring was on a necklace around his neck, unable to be removed
"... I hope you don't expect much from me being a husband," he admitted, crossing his arms. "Since we don't know each other after all and you seen... Rather young for me."
Rachael is trying to get the ring off her finger via her boot planted on the top of it and pulling her hand. "I dunno!"
"Yew think I want this too? I'm not marriage material! This thing won't come off."
It's not too small. It's a perfect fit that won't budge.
"Its YOUR fault, you appeared when this magic took place," Hook accused. "If I'd have dreamt of being married, it wouldn't be to ..." He looked her over for a moment before sighing in defeat, gritting his teeth. He wasn't usually THIS rude to ladies upon meeting them but..
"Apologies... WIFE. Captain James Hook, at your service."

It depends on the formal event, but heres a couple of ideas uwu second one drawn by me <3
If we're going for a MODERN concert, he'd go ALL out. This would probably be a rare occasion tho, since theres not much modern music he likes. But if its a celebration of sorts like pride? Hell yeah. If you're thinking concert like a orchestra or something? He'd just wear pompous thingies similar to the formal wear.
Halloween would depend on if its a costume party or not :D I've drawn him in a few costumes
