“You were the one who imagined it all
All those years ago”
George.
The friendship of Lennon and Harrison is a memorable relationship of those two ex-beatles, who lie resting in peace, that always had its turmoil and disagreements, but more than anything in the 70's.
The relationship of these two individuals was one of student And master, George's admiration for John was quite enormous. Both former beatles were the ones who, after the breakup of the band, got together to compose and instrumentalize one of the songs on the album "Imagine" by John Lennon entitled "How do you sleep?" where Harrison participates playing a solo. But when Harrison organized the Bangladesh Benefit Concert in the summer of 1971, he expected Lennon to perform at it, along with Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Ravi Shankar and many others. However, the former Beatles guitarist did not want Ono to participate.
This strained their relationship, obviously. And the event that ended a wave of rancor between the two was Harrison's omission of Lennon from his autobiographical book called "I, Me, Mine," which was published in 1980, just weeks before Lennon was assassinated. The iconic artist had felt "hurt" as he told journalist David Sheff because:
"my influence on his life is absolutely zero and zero... I'm not in the book."
In fact, he mentions it several times but not as a musical influence.
When Lennon was killed later that year, they still hadn't reconciled. But in 1981, Harrison released "All Those Years Ago," a song he composed in tribute to his former teammate and friend. The rest of the former members of the Beatles participated in the recording, a meeting that would not happen again until many years later.

When i was 5 years old, My mother always told me happiness is the key to the life. When i went to school, they asked me what i wanted to be when i grew up. I wrote down "happy". They told me i didn't understand the assignment, and i told them they didn't understand life.

But love is like a precious plant. You can’t just accept it and leave it in the cupboard, or just think it’s gonna get on with itself. You gotta keep watering it. You’ve got to really look after it, and be careful of it.

Dear friend, what's the time?
Is this really the border line?
Does it really mean so much to you?
Are you afraid, or is it true?
Dear friend, throw the wine
I'm in love with a friend of mine
Really truly, young and newly wed
Are you afraid, or are you blue?

" 'Dear friend' was written about John, yes. I don't like pain and arguments, they always bother me. Life is too precious, although we often find ourselves guilty of wasting it. So, after John had me torn apart in public, I had to think of an answer, I was going to be firing him in public, and an instinct prevented me, which makes me very happy, or to do something else. So I worked on my attitude and wrote 'Dear friend', saying, in effect, let's put down our weapons, hang up our boxing gloves "
“But, for me, it's a bit like that. I remember when I listened to the song recently, listening to the harsh new remastering in the car. And I thought, "Oh God." That lyrics: "Truly, young and newlywed." Hearing that was like, 'Oh my gosh, it's true!' I'm trying to tell John, 'Look, you know, everything is fine. Have a glass of wine. Let's be cool. And thankfully we got back together again, which was like a great source of joy, because it would have been terrible if they had killed him the way things were at the time and I could never fix it with him. This was me arriving. So I think it's very powerful in a very simple way. But he was certainly sincere. "
