Commander Kamado is the bane of my existence. He’s in the fic so briefly, yet he’s one of the big reasons Riley is so easily targeted by Volo! I won’t go into details because that would be major spoilers for the fic, but yeah, so much could have been avoided if Kamado wasn’t an ass lol

But honestly the biggest reason I don’t like him is that he was hard to write. Since he’s not a big part of the fic, I didn’t feel like doing deep dives into Kamado’s character, ya know? So I just went off what I remembered, and I felt like I had to redo scenes with him like five times before I considered it good enough.
