Jimmy blinked then laughed softly, “Funny, my husband does the same thing to my children,”

“Really? Is he hero?” Thomas looked curious.

Jimmy nodded with a fond smile, “He was, but he is still with me and the kids,"

"Oh... so he doesn't um, put the baddies away anymore? Who does it now?"

"No, but that is not the point."

Thomas pouted.

"And now the paint has to dry," she said authoritatively. “Take off the smock and the mask and put them on the grub table on your way out. We can maybe make a hot fudge sundae in the kitchen. How would you like that?"

"I would like that a lot! Yum. Hot fudge sundae!" Thomas tugged off the mask and smock before bouncing a bit. "Ice cream!"

“…So where’re you headed?” Might as well change the topic.

“Um… I don’t know. Just walking.”

"You know that’s not too safe right?"

"I know, but it's okay. I got people that can find me anywhere!"

He smiled warmly at the kid before setting the objects onto a open space on the counter, digging a few scoops if ice cream and placing it into the bowl, occasionally having to hit the spoon lightly on the edge of the bowl to get the ice cream off the spoon. He hands the bowl to Thomas with once hand, while the other hand puts the ice cream back in the freezer. “There ya go, kid."

Thomas waited patiently as Colin got the ice cream. He took the bowl with a smile. "Thank you!" He said cheerfully before scooping some of the ice cream into his mouth. "Mm..."

"Right, well that I’ve heard before, so guess it’s no surprise." He shrugged. “Good for you." He rolled his eyes, poking the kid’s forehead lightly.

Thomas blinked at the sudden poke and then rubbed his forehead. "Why did you do that?"
