He'd been in the bathroom when he'd heard the bedroom door unlock, it being one of those rare days were he'd decided to actually drag himself out from the bed and actually take care of himself. Even he got a little annoyed when he'd have those episodes of emptiness and was all but forced into the shower - with his hydrophobia and all, it was much better if he just forced himself to clean up now and then. "I'll be there in a sec", he called out, spitting out the toothpaste and staring at his tired expression. He didn't look that bad - though he was even paler than normal, "....you know", he started as he walked back into the room, ruffling his damp hair with a towel as he walked, "It's been forever since I even last saw the sun - but judging by the heat lately, it must be summer right?". Removing the towel, his hair stood up in random angles as he gave her a soft, tired smile, "What is the date?"

Prudence stood by the bedroom door, having locked the door behind her upon entering. There's a wrapped rectangular gift in her hands, with a bow sitting a top of it. It's his birthday today and she'd brought him a very special gift.A happy smile spread across her lips when he entered the room from the connected bathroom. "You look nice today. I take it you took a shower?" she asked, taking note of his wet hair and the way he's been ruffling it with the towel in his hands.

"Yes, it's summer time." she replied. A little too hot outside if you asked her. Even the house is quite warm, due to it's age and the fact that it has no air conditioning unit.

She walked over to him, holding the wrapped birthday present close to her chest. "It's your birthday. Happy Birthday dear," she says. Prudence holds out the wrapped gift to him. Inside is a photo frame with a picture of Garth and Yumeno in it. She doubted he would want to know the lengths she had to go through just to get that picture. And though she hated the fact that Garth cared so much about someone who isn't her, she still wanted him to have a reminder of his sibling around in the form of a photograph.

Prudence enters the bedroom, carrying a tray of food in one hand. She closes the door with her foot, a soft click being heard as it shuts behind her. The tray is shifted in her grasp, so she's now holding onto it with two hands as she listens to his asked question. She brings the tray over to him, carefully placing it onto the bedside table.

The woman hums thoughtfully, tapping at her chin with a finger. She takes a seat on the side of the bed, thinking over the question he asked. "You want to send one to Yumeno, right?" she assumed. Prudence knows he doesn't have the best relationship with anyone else in his family, so it must be his sibling he wants to write to. "I suppose I would be okay with that," she mused with a sigh. A written letter seemed harmless, right? Especially if the receiver of it was a child. "I brought you something for lunch if you're hungry." she adds.
