I don't know how people can fake their feelings, i can't even fake a hello to someone i don't like

Someday we will have to explain to our kids who the elderly man in every marvel movie is.
.🖤🖤🖤.
I just love how some dudes are like „idk man, I didn’t like how captain marvel forced this feminist agenda down our throats… sure, it happens to some women but they really overdid it, irl it’s not as bad as they made it out to be“ but for every woman I know that shit was relatable af

before captain marvel i never quite realised how toxic the concept of “prove it” is. if you like something that’s generally a “boy’s club” you are asked to prove your knowledge about it and in a way prove if you’re worthy to have it or not. if you just enjoy the thing you might not know everything about it and then you’re fake. if you say you could do something you’re asked to prove it no matter what and if you don’t you can’t do it.
the only person you ever have to prove anything to is yourself.
Nadia and Guzmán (Élite, 2018)
“I’m right here, okay? But we can’t stay here. We have to get away.”
Things I love ‘The Rain’ for:
Showing young people in a post-apocalyptic environment who act realistically, who are frightened out of their mind and do stupid shit because they don’t know how to react to the trauma that they’re going through.
The healthiest, maturest break-up I’ve ever witnessed on my screen, ever.
The kids are actually given time to grieve and feel like shit.
But there are happy, hopeful moments too, which don’t feel forced.
Showing the struggle of holding onto your humanity during times of survival.
Establishing a healthy relationship built entirely on amazing communication and mutual respect in eight episodes.
Showing that violence isn’t always the best way to ensure survival.
Young people talking to each other and supporting each other through grief.
Realistically depicting how spending six formative years in a bunker can affect someone’s mental development.
