I’m not back and I don’t know why I’m posting this cause I don’t even know if im ever going to write in this blog again after this. I just hope you all are doing just fine.

I stared writing here when I was 17 and was fucking underage, now I’m 22 and still single as fuck but I feel a lot more mature about a lot of stuff. I just wanted to tell to the people I used to talk with in here that you all have meant a lot to me and still do. And idk I just wish you all the best❤️

From how I see it, Theon has always known that being taken away from his home wasn’t “for his own good” and that “ward” is basically a synonym of hostage, and he’s always made it clear that he doesn’t like the Starks, to the point even Bran and Rickon know that. Therefore I think that Robb didn’t even have to reflect on that, cause if he and Theon are always together (they grew up together after all) then he already knows Theon’s condition very well. I actually think he’s so aware of it and sorry for it that the moment he has the chance to send him back home, he lets him go.

I think he’s always been fully aware that Theon was an hostage, cause he grew up with him and as I said, Theon’s dislike towards the Starks is obvious and he’s probably let Robb know that. Still, Robb seems to be the first and only one to consider Theon being a hostage as a negative thing.

It’s heartwarming to realise he’s the one and only who talks about Theon’s condition focusing on Theon as a person and not as a political strategy. Cause he’s aware of how Theon feels and that’s probably why he insists so much on sending him to the Iron Islands instead of anybody else. He knows how Theon feels cause Theon most likely spoke to him about it. And I can’t help but think that Robb let him go home cause he knows Theon is Ned’s hostage, not his. Cause Theon is Robb’s friend, not his hostage, so he releases him, trusting him to come back and help him with the war. I’m one hundred per cent positive that if things went Robb’s way, he would have let Theon be free to do what he wanted. Somehow, he already did: I feel like that “he’s been a hostage half is life” means that he’s not willing to let him be a hostage any longer, now that it’s up to him. He let Theon go home as a free man.
