Subject Arlo Miller (ID: 0824-PM) is a unique case in the BBI program. Unlike the standard "Smile-and-File" orphans, Miller is a graduate of the foster system who successfully transitioned into a Playtime Co. staff role. As a Senior Counselor in Playcare, Miller demonstrated an unprecedented level of rapport with the children.
However, his recent "excessive curiosity" regarding the dormitory disappearances necessitated his immediate enrollment in the BBI program. We have selected the DogDay (Smiling Critters) shell for his conversion to test the preservation of "Employee Institutional Knowledge" in a mascot body.
During the synthesis phase, the poppy-extract solution reacted poorly to Miller’s adult physiology (likely due to years of Red Smoke exposure as a human).
• Pigmentation Failure: The dermal layer failed to hold the trademark "Sunrise Orange." The resulting fur is a pallid, sun-bleached gold.
• Vocal Preservation: Surprisingly, the subject’s voice box did not match to the corporate-standard "DogDay" pitch. He retains Miller's soft, human-like baritone.
• Psychological Integrity: Subject 1188-B remains "too human." He lacks the predatory instinct of Experiment 1170 (Huggy Wuggy) and the fanatical devotion of Experiment 1188 (CatNap).
III. DISPOSITION & PLACEMENT
Due to the pigmentation defect, 1188-B is deemed "Off-Model" and unfit for public-facing roles or the main "Smiling Critters" televised appearances. However, Dr. Sawyer has authorized his use as a Secondary Containment Specialist. 1188-B will be stationed in the Sub-Level 4 Medical Ward. His role is to provide "comfort" to incoming child candidates during the pre-operation phase. We find that the children are more compliant when a familiar, albeit "broken," DogDay explains the procedure as a "special nap."
IV. OBSERVATIONAL NOTE (STRICTLY CONFIDENTIAL)
The "Prime" DogDay has begun to notice 1188-B. The Prime unit appears confused by the presence of a "twin." We must ensure 1188-B is kept in the lower wards to avoid a status-hierarchy conflict. 1188-B has requested his sun-charm pendant be removed, claiming the "light is too bright." Request denied. Let him mourn his humanity; it makes him more convincing to the orphans.
