The court house packed..

Reporters who lined the walls, their cameras flashing as the guards lead him out.

I stood amongst them just trying to blend in.

But then he turned the corner.

His eyes immediately found mine

And for a second there I swore neither of us moved

I was back there.

We had already paid off the guards, I could taste the tension. It was just me, and this “savage” all alone.

He sat across from me, watching me with that same look he was giving me now.

I smiled. “You’re already in trouble.”

He laughed under his breath.

“Your lawyer called me, she told me you were rejecting your plea deal.” I said
