tho it was confirmed by ry that no child would be had, I do recall them saying that trolls are born of love, and the reason JD has so many brothers is because Pine literally couldn't help himself bc he loved his wife so much (even if he didn't want kids)

so imagine a JD, no longer grey and dealing with emotional chaos, suddenly feeling intense love for hickory because his ass was emotionally distant for so long that the natural surge of it spawned an egg. like father like son as always
