Previous Era: Age of Ascension
Part 3 of my version of the Queens (or in this case kings) of Mewni (8-12).
These five consist of the third era, known as the Age of Kings.
(His name is pronounced "YOO-ruh-nuhs", like how Sailor Uranus's name is pronounced in Sailor Moon.)
Named after the seventh planet in our Solar System, Uranus, and (slightly) modeled after the Roman Personification of the sky, Uranus (known as Ouranos in Greek Mythology).
Hey, just because Mewni is a matriarchy doesn't mean there weren't at least a few kings. I mean, if real-world countries that were primarily patriarchies had some female rulers, then why couldn't Mewni have at least some male rulers?
As for his cheek marks, I couldn't decide between Uranus's two symbols, so I mixed them into one.
Named after the sixth planet in our Solar System, Saturn, and modeled after the Roman God of Time, Saturn (known as Cronus in Greek Mythology).
Let's just say this guy was worse than Solaria the Monster Carver. I mean, at least Solaria cared about her family (especially Eclipsa). As for Saturn, well... Let's just say he got a good old case of Set from Egyptian Mythology, Claudius from Shakespear's Hamlet, and Scar from The Lion King. In other words, he killed his older brother (or in his case, younger sister) to get the crown for himself.
Aside from being based on Cronus/Saturn, I based his design off Scar, as well as a typical viking king outfit.
I originally wanted to give him a lock of his hair covering his right eye, but that would make him look like a male version of Dirhhennia the Heaped, so I discarded the hair lock.
(I also made him look like a human version of King Sombra from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.)
Named after the fifth planet in our Solar System, Jupiter, and modeled after the Roman God of Thunder and Lightning (hence his motif), as well as the king of the Gods, Jupiter (known as Zeus in Greek Mythology)... without any of the problematic stuff he did.
But just like the Greco-Roman god he was named after, he's the one who saved Mewni from his tyrannical father, Saturn.
In case anybody can't tell what his wand's supposed to be, it's meant to be something like a medallion that turns into a lightning-bolt weapon when he holds it (as well as giving him a lightning-bolt crown that lights up whenever he wears it).
Hopefully I didn't make him look too much like Marco or his karate teacher Sensei Brantley.
Phoebus the King of Music
Named after the Roman God of Music, Medicine, and the Sun, Phoebus (known as Apollo in Greek Mythology)... once again, without any of the problematic stuff he's known for.
Like his namesake, he was known for his music and poetry, and had a golden motif going on with him.
I originally wanted to call him "Apollo the Musician", but then I found out another SVTFOE fan, TheOfficialJakeFarr (an artist on DeviantArt), gave one of his queens (or in this case, king) of Mewni that name. And like with Milky, I didn't wanna look like I was copying him, so I changed his name to Phoebus (Apollo's Roman name), and his title to "the King of Music".
I also tried to give him a different design from Jake's Apollo, but I'm not sure if I fully succeeded. And if I didn't, I'll redesign him to make him look different from Apollo.
Named and modeled after the figure from Greek Mythology of the same name... once again, without any of the problematic stuff.
As his title implies, he had a tragic life, whether it was his spells or his love life.
