I think about it sometimes, and I just sit there and cry, wondering what it takes to receive some kind of fatherly love. An older man who tells me I’m doing a great job when I accomplish something because my own dad couldn’t. An older man who holds me in his arms whenever it feels like my world is falling apart. Or even one who tucks me into bed, tells me he’s got me, and reminds me that I don’t have to worry about a single thing in the world as I fall asleep. Is that really too much to ask for?
