In my adult life I’m the mom friend who takes care of everyone and makes sure everyone feels included. I have leadership tendencies and end up finding myself taking charge of things even when I don’t mean to. I don’t mind it, I love the people around me very deeply and I want them to all feel and be safe and this is a part of the way that I show that. I’m also a perfectionist who’s deeply afraid of making mistakes and just wants everything to go right on my first try.

I don’t recall a lot of my childhood and the parts of it I do I was always required to be responsible and mature for my age. My age regression helps me to cope and safely act out parts of myself that I otherwise repress and deprioritize. It helps me to reclaim the carefree childhood that I didn’t get to have. Sometimes I need to be the one that’s being irresponsible and being cared for. Sometime I need to be messy and immature. I need to know that all parts of me can be loved from the caring and responsible adult side of me to my broken crayons, big tears over little things, needy, and loud little self.
