Day 10 - Fire - Litwick

By luck I managed to get a shiny litwick on my birthday. She has horrible stats but she's very special to me. <3

I talked to my mother today about Rick Perry's awful ad. She said she didn't get out of it what I did, she got that it's unfair to call a tree a holiday tree. She said, and oh my glob I wish I was kidding, that it can't be because they want to be inclusive because they don't stick menorahs on them.

Mother, I love you, but you are part of what is wrong. Not to mention she got that while ignoring the fact that Mr. Perry said there is a problem with gays openly serving in our military. Her response when I brought that up?

"If I was gay and in the military I wouldn't say anything anyway. There are too many weirdos."

"You couldn't talk about your girlfriend or wife without getting kicked out."

"Well people shouldn't be bullying them either but that happens."

This man should not be allowed to hold any office ever.

- Kids are not allowed to have group prayer during the school day. School days are about six hours long and nothing stops them from praying individually in their heads.

- Including non-Christians by saying Happy Holidays is not stopping anyone from openly celebrating Christmas, it is recognizing that we are not all Christians and not everyone celebrates Christmas.

- He just insulted a large group of current troops and veterans by implying they are somehow not worth as much because they are gay. They are just as important, valid, and human as anyone else in the military.

This man puts forcing his religion down the throats of others above the rights of human beings. He is implying that we some how wrong if we do not follow the same religion he does or if we happen to - le gasp - be attracted to someone not of the opposite sex. This man is a bigot and he's not even trying to hide it or be remotely subtle.
